° Sabre's PoV °

A day has passed since my nightmare. Since the nightmare, Kirros has kept checking up on me every fifteen minutes, which is kind of him but is getting to be a little annoying.

"Sabre, do you have everything packed?" Kirros asks me.

"Almost!" I respond.

I sigh and continue to help Kirros pack what is needed to visit the Orange Village. We would have me pack my belongings, but I don't have any.

I take it easy when doing this, my back is halfway done healing  and we don't want to interrupt that process. My wrist, since it isn't that bad of a burn, has already pretty much healed over.

I finish packing what Kirros asked me to, and I grab and carry the bag. I don't understand why we need all this stuff to just visit a village, but I don't question it.

I set the bag down by the door and I walk to the kitchen. Kirros said that he was packing snacks, so maybe he's still there.

I get into the kitchen and Kirros isn't here. I sigh and start searching the entire house.

"Kirros?" I call out. No response. "Kirros!"

I look around and call for Kirros, but I never get a response. This starts to worry me, and I start to panic slightly.

What if the Darkness got to him like it did in my nightmare? What if he's dead? What if he left me alone because I ruined his life?

Many 'what ifs' fill my head, all fighting for the most attention. Each time they get louder and louder. I grip my head with my left hand to try to silence them and to calm down.

My head shoots up at a familiar voice.

"Sabre? Are you okay?" Kirros asks.

"Kirros! Don't scare me like that! I was calling you for five minutes and you didn't respond! I- I thought the Darkness got to you," I quickly get out and run to give Kirros a hug. "You scared me. I thought.. I thought I lost you like we lost Rory."

Kirros hugs me back, rubbing my back which helps calm me down a little bit. I bury my face into his shoulder, finding comfort in his warm embrace. Kirros puts rests his chin slightly on my head. We stay like this for a while, slowly walking side to side.

"Sabre..?" Kirros mumbles. I let out a mumbled 'mhm' in response.

"There's something I want to show you. It'll make our travels easier," Kirros murmurs.

"Oh?" I say, my interest peaked. "What is it?"

"Follow me," is all Kirros says before he drags me by the wrist.

We run outside and he brings me to what seems to be a pedestal. It has a beam of orange coming from the center. It has white marble stairs surrounding it. Overall, just a small, simple but elegant pedestal.

"What's this for?" I ask.

"Get on," Kirros tells me.

I, though hesitantly, listen. I stand on the glass where the beam is coming through. The beam does nothing, though.

"I'm going to teleport you. It will have lightning," Kirros warns me.

"Wait wait wait," I quickly say.

"Hm?" Kirros questions.

"I can't be struck or near lightning."

"Oh?"
