"Don't pretend like you wouldn't kill to fuck me right now."

Severus waited for you to rise from your seat before leading you to a door near the back of the classroom that nearly blended with the wall. He muttered unintelligibly, most likely his password. Inside was another dark desk, larger than the one in the classroom, and, glancing around, you deduced that you were in his office. The walls were lined with books and vials, illuminated by a few small candles burning on the desk. It smelled faintly of coffee and aged parchment, and you thought that you could easily spend all day there, breathing in the scent of him.
On the far wall of the room was another door, similar to the one you had just passed through. Your nerves danced, as you were sure it was the passage to his quarters. He spoke another word beneath his breath and turned to look at you as he opened the door. Without speaking, you followed him further until you were standing in the entryway of a dark, beautiful living space. The layout of his quarters was much the same as yours, but his decor was in stark contrast. A black leather couch and chair sat behind a wrought iron table, the top covered in glass. Towering bookshelves covered much of the space on the walls, and where there were no books, ornate paintings were hung, their images swaying in motion. You could just see into his kitchen where a large kettle rested upon a stovetop. Above his fireplace was a long mantle decorated with small vials, more books, and a few other practical trinkets. You couldn't help but smile at the similarities between his living space and appearance. It was so uniquely Severus.
You took off your shoes and placed them beside the ones he had just removed. He started toward the couch, and you hesitantly followed him.
You were in your professor's quarters. It fully dawned on you when he offered you a drink.
"Wine? This seems more like a date than a study session," you said, taking a glass from him, your fingers brushing against his.
"Call it what you want. You will be reading," he said affirmatively. His domineering tone had a much different meaning now, and you struggled to suppress a small sound from escaping the depths of your throat.
You sat carefully down on his couch, afraid that you might spill your drink, and reached into your satchel for his book. Taking a sip, you opened the book to an unspecified page and started to skim the text. Severus took his seat beside you, grasping his own glass of wine, and placed an unopened book in his lap.
"You know, I was quite surprised when you asked me to read this, but, seeing as three quarters of it has been changed, I understand your reasoning," you commented, smiling.
He scoffed. "I wouldn't make you read anything that wasn't of value," he responded, and opened his own book. You glanced at the title page and recognized that it wasn't academic. He was simply reading for pleasure.
"Another romance?" you asked playfully.
He shot you a stern look. "Control yourself. Focus."
You exhaled sharply, feeling the glow of arousal taint you once more. "Oh," you whispered.
Not another word was spoken until you had both drained your glasses, and he reached toward you, offering another. You would have declined, given the early hour, but it was much too convincing to take another glass and be obligated to stay until you finished it. You were on your third swallow when the smallest amount of fuzz started to obscure your mind. The overwhelming desire to reach out and take his hand flooded over you, and you had lost just enough of your inhibition to act upon it. Your fingertips slid over his hand gently at first, before wrapping around it and dragging it to your lap. He glanced over at you with a deep breath, and relaxed into the touch. You laced your fingers together like you had in the carriage, and, for once, everything felt perfect. Right in place.
