Peter dropped a portrait of Aunt May, still having his Spider-man spandex on with unzipped jeans on as he bent down to pick it up, placing it back next to the television.

. . . except when the flu hits. Then it's not so glamorous. But, hey, you gotta roll with the mucus.

"Peter, you sound terrible." Aunt May's voice was heard coming up the stairs, heading to Peter's room. Peter glanced down, noticing he was still showing his spandex. "I brought you a micro-biotic shake full of antioxidants." Peter jumped over his bed and shut the door on Aunt May, spilling the cup all over her.
"Uh! Uh, germs, Aunt May." Peter nervously explained. "You know how it is. If you get sick, who's gonna take care of me?" Aunt May looked at the door annoyed, heading back down. As Peter sat back in bed, turning up the TV.
*** {Maya's POV} ***
I was flying to the sight of the reported robot attack, deciding against teleporting since I wasn't that far away from where I was patrolling alone before I noticed a black spiderman looking guy swinging, throwing a web-slinger at the robot that went through its chest. Knocking it down.
The black spider-guy jumped down, stepping on the robot just as I arrived, confused.
"Huh?" I let out as the crowd and police started cheering for the guy. Last I knew Peter killed the last radioactive spider. So who is this guy? And why copy the look? The spider-guy winked before slinging off, leaving me dazed. Everything went so fast.
I quickly fled the scene before the journalists could hoard me, heading to Peter's place. Somebody was playing Spiderman, and a little too well at that. I went into a nearby ally, taking off my mask which reverted me into the black cropped sweater and black tights I was wearing previously. I ran up to Peter's apartment and knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" Aunt May's voice shouted from the other side.
"Maya!" I answered back as Aunt May opened the door with a welcoming smile, while she was rubbing her face with a towel.
"Did you come to check on Peter? He's upstairs with the flu."
"I heard." I entered the apartment, politely taking off my shoes out front. "Came to take care of him. Don't worry, I don't get sick easily." I reassured Aunt May, glancing at the cup she must have prepared for him. "I'll take this up to him."
"Thank you." Aunt May grinned. I took the cup, quickly climbing the stairs and knocking on the door.
"Peter!" I called out.
"Maya?" Peter quickly opened the door, with a crestfallen look on his face, dragging me inside and shutting the door. "Did I just get replaced?" He started complaining, pointing to the TV which was repeating a clip of the black spider-guy swinging off the scene with the headlines;
Mistress's new spider partner?
"No, you did not." I rejected, handing him the cup and sitting him down as he coughed just as I sat on his other side. "I don't have a clue who that is, or why they suddenly started appearing. I just happened to have come the same time he was."
