{Maya's POV}

Spidey and I were racing across New York with Shocker on our tail.

Thirteen straight days of battling bad guys.
Yesterday it was Boomerang.
Today it's Shocker

Spidey grunted as we dodged a shock and jumped from a billboard as I threw a blast at the billboard making it fall down at Shocker as we safely landed. We grinned as we high fived before we started to make our way to the museum for the exhibit Spidey wanted to make us go too so bad.

But tonight is Halloween. And all the people in costumes can have their fun. We're staying away.
No monsters, no villains and no reason to change.
Everyone would assume we're the fake Mistress and Spider-Man anyway, plus There's an exhibit I'm dying to see Camelot.
It's the last night it's open, and since it's Halloween, there's no one else here.

We stopped near the museum and casually walked among the many costumed people- I think I just saw one of them dressed like me- and it's a little girl, aw.
"Finally, some peace and quiet" Spidey said as we walked in casually. I spotted a group of people up ahead but I don't think Spidey noticed. Spidey lead us to the exhibit which seemed closed. "I love this stuff!" Spidey said as he leaped over the red rope and went as I sighed and stayed back knowing he'd be kicked out in just a second, I was right when the security guard pulled Spidey back over to where I was. "Hey-hey! Wait, no.I need to see this exhibit! Oh. C'mon, please?" Spidey pleaded.
"Sorry, it's closed," The guard said as we both saw the group of people sneak in. I chuckled, quickly interested in what they were up to as I stepped into the shadow.
"Inuisibilitas" I mumbled the invisibility spell as I saw snuck past the guard with ease to go see what the group was up to.
"But- you just- Those kids just snuck past you! But I'm Spider-Man!" The short black haired girl dressed as Doc Ock silently stuck her tongue out at Spidey. "Did I just get dissed by baby Doc Ock?" Spidey said as I held in a chuckle as I followed. The group of people awed at the exhibit.
"This exhibit contains treasures unearthed from ancient Camelot. And get this! Legends tell of magical forces in some of the artifacts." I leaned on the top of the pillar as I made myself seen again.
"Magic is quite an interesting concept, isn't it," I said looking down at them with a knowing smirk.
"Whoa. How did you get up there- wait are you one of those decorations at this exhibit" The boy with black hair and freckles said as I chuckled and jumped down gracefully.
"Whoa" They all awed.
"Your like that heroine comic Luke reads, Mistress, right? How do you do those special effects?" The blonde girl with a fairy costume says. I'm a comic character? Wow. I knew I was well known, but not comic wise. I know Spidey said we would just dress as ourselves but they don't seem to know me in real life, how would they ask me if I used special effects and call my existence a comic book heroine if they knew me?
"I am Mistress. Not a character created as a comic, a character inspired to a comic. I don't think they even know enough of me to make a comic about me"
"Your lying. If you were the real Mistress, then prove it to me by umm, making a cupcake appear right in front of me" The little girl dressed as Doc Ock challenged.
"Zuri! Don't be ridiculous, it's obvious that she's not a real comic character" The red-haired woman said. I smirked as I magically made my staff appear.
"Open your hand, Zuri," I said to the now known Zuri. Zuri boredly did as I said as I tapped her hand with my staff as I placed an image of a cupcake in my head as it soon appeared on her hand as she and the others looked at it shocked.
"You really are Mistress! That is incredible! Bizarre!" The boy in a wizard outfit said with his lizard next to him growling. While everyone was talking to me, the boy with freckles went up to the sword of Camelot and rubbed the emerald in awe. I turned to him when the sword began to glow. It stopped the glowing when the others noticed before it fell on top of the boy the red-haired women quickly got the suit of armor and placed it back.
"Luke! No touching" The women said to 'Luke' as the sword fell to the ground. I eyed it suspiciously.
"Oh, hey. Another mess to pick up." the woman said sarcastically. I'm guessing she's been cleaning after them for a while for her to be annoyed. Purple lightning began to start behind the armor once the women picked up the sword as Luke and her backed up in fear.
"Nice going, Jessie," Luke said to Jessie. The purple streaks of light began to go all over the place as I quickly gathered them all near me and placed a protection barrier around us to keep any of us from getting hurt by it. Where' s Spidey when you need him? I let down the barrier as I couldn't hold it up as Jessie held the sword high next to me.
"Get behind us! Yikes! This thing is kinda heavy" Jessie said as she struggled a little to hold it up.
"Do you really think that piece of metal can protect us?" The blonde fairy girl said.
"What, should I use your magic wand?" Jessie challenged as the blonde girl looked at her fairy wand.
"Yeah, maybe stick with the sword." The sword started to glow once again as it's light began to spread. It started to cover all the kids, once it covered me I felt my powers start to grow stronger than it was before.
"Whoa!" Everyone gaped. As soon as the light faded a woman appeared from the armor. Why does she look so familiar?
"Children! I just love children! My name is Morgan le Fay. I've been imprisoned in that thing for centuries, and the first thing I see when I'm freed is kids!" I stepped in front of the group with my staff ready, not trusting the sounds of Morgan.
"Morgan? She has the same name as dad." The blonde one said.
"I do not see any resemblance Okay, well maybe the teeth." The boy in the wizard outfit said.
" I should thank you. You freed me from a dreadful prison. Now nothing can stop me from bringing darkness to the whole Earth. But first things first, I need that sword." Morgan said holding out her hand. Before I could send a retort Spidey leaped in front of us.
"I don't think so, Morgan. If you're gonna bring darkness to the whole Earth, why would they give you the sword?" Spidey said in an obvious tone as I smiled, happy to see him again.
"Yeah. What he said!" Zuri said defensively before Jessie pulled her back.
"Zuri!"
"Aren't you kids sweet? You're so innocent and precious, and easy to destroy!" Morgan yelled but before she could cast a spell Spidey sent a web pushing her down as I sent a blast along with it to back Spidey up.
"Sorry, museum rules are made clear," I said with a smirk.
"No destroying the children" Spidey said in a fake nanny voice, as if he was speaking to little kids. Spidey covered her in a web.
"Are you two really the real power Duo, Spider-Man and Mistress?" The blonde fairy girl asked.
"In the flesh-whoa!" Spidey said as he turned as he stood in front of Zuri.
"How do we know you're for real? It is Halloween, after all. " Zuri challenged Spidey.
"Speaking of Halloween, you couldn't have gone as a ghost or something?" Spidey was clearly spooked by her Doc Ock outfit, especially since-wait? Are her fake arms moving?
"Scared you, didn't I?" Morgan began to throw blasts at us as Spidey and I looked at each other and nodded as we jumped leading Morgan away from them.
"Yoo-hoo Morgan! Follow the dancing spider and sorceress!" Spidey taunted. While we stalled Morgan the rest of them ran away only for Morgan to ditch us and follow them. Before they could leave out the main exit, Morgan cast a spell keeping the door completely shut, leaving them no other place to leave.
"It's way too late for kids to be out on the streets. Better to stay in here for a front-row view of the end of the world!" Morgan sent her magic across the museum, bringing everything to life."Do you like stories? Because here's a good one. It starts with me getting the sword tonight, the most evil night of the year, and then Well, maybe I should keep the ending a surprise. Oh, I can't help myself It ends with eternal night over the Earth! Ruled by me and every evil thing you can imagine! And a seriously bad fate for you. The end!" Morgan cheerfully said as she charged up another energy ball as Jessie and the kids ran as Spidey webbed her hand to keep her from doing anything temporarily.
"Worst bedtime story, ever," Spidey said as he grabbed my hand as we ran with the rest of the others.
"Everyone! In!" I yelled as we all got into the bug exhibit as Spidey began webbing the door.
"all right, kids, look for someplace to hide while I figure out how to deal with- Did you just slime me?" Jessie shrieked at Spidey as she walked in front of Spidey. Spidey was webbing the door and Jessie- while talking- had walked in front of him causing a web to hit her as the blonde teen gasped.
"Oh, no he di'int" Luke said as he backed off.
"Uh-Oh," The boy with the lizard said as they backed away too.
"He's dead" Zuri imputed as she too,backed away. I raised an eyebrow, very amused as I stepped back to watch how this would unfold.
"Sorry, but you got in my way.In fact, if you hadn't cut in line, you wouldn't be here in the first place.Then you wouldn't have released a world-destroying witch!" It was actually Luke who caused it, But Spidey's got a point. If they followed the rules we wouldn't be in this situation.
"I didn't mean to release an evil witch. All I did was fix the exhibit and the sword came out!"
"Fix the?- No! You never touch the exhibits! Oh great. This is what I have to work with. Four kids and a girl completely out of her league." Actually we but I don't think it's a good time to correct Spidey seeing him getting pissed off. As he said that I felt a small rumble and looked behind me to see the fake earthworm glowing purple and slowly coming to life.
"Well, I learned a long time ago, never trust a weirdo in a mask!"
"Uh, Spidey" i said only to get ignored.
"How many weirdos in masks have you encountered?" Spidey questioned.
"With my luck, way too many"
"SPIDEY" I exclaimed as he finally snapped his head towards me.
"Wha- Is that a giant earthworm?" The earthworm fully alive, began growling. "Yep, giant earthworm" I took out my staff and turned it to a sword, ready to slice this thing. Spidey and I glanced at each other, forming a plan as we got the others out of the way as they soon found a safe hiding spot.
"How do you guys do that? One look and you've got a plan?" Jessie questioned. We both shrugged as we turned our attention at the earthworm. We started to confuse it and slowly getting it tangled as it tried to get loose.
"Not bad, huh?" Spidey boasted as the kids came out from their hiding spot.
"You know, I saw something similar on the street in Jaipur. But that involved cobras." Ravi said.
"Did it have giant Cobras?" I questioned.
"No, but Copras" Ravi answered.
"I don't care if they're cobras, or kittens the size of bucking broncos, the worm's almost loose!" Jessie exclaimed.
"Everyone into the next room!" Spidey exclaimed as we ran to the next room.
