Instagram models taking pictures wearing some explicit clothes, shirtless guys, and couples making out on the grass. This was barley her scene but after her mother convincing her to get out of the house she obeyed. She hasn't been herself ever since she last saw HIM. Her long time friend ever since freshmen year Jake Kiszka that she haven't spoke for five months which felt like a whole year.
"Little bird you ok?" Her mother Stevie said using a nickname she gave her when she was younger as she pulled Corey out of her thoughts.
"Huh? Yeah I-I'm fine" Corey said as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Ok come on were gonna be performing soon" Her mother said reaching out for her hand. Corey put on a warm smile grabbing her moms hand and walked with her.
Corey walked up on the stage where her and Stevie are gonna be performing. The band crew setted up the instruments and such around her as she sat on the stages platform as her legs dangled down and watched the people that passed by. Until her eyes darted at one person she noticed like someone she recognized. It was a girl with light brown hair and a small body.
"Holy shit" Corey said to herself as she got down off the stage and walk towards the person now recognizing who.
"Veronica?" Corey asked calling out to her old friends younger sister. Veronica noticed Corey walking towards her and had a big smile. She ran towards her and pulled her in a embrace. Ever since Corey and Jakes argument Veronica was always there for her besides Josh, Sam, and Danny.
"Oh my god Corey hey" Veronica said.
"Ronnie hey haven't talked to you in a week!" Corey said with a smile. "What are you doing here?" Corey asked.
"Oh yeah I'm here with the guys there performing here!" Veronica says. Corey felt her jaw dropped to the floor she didn't think the boys would actually be here.
"Wait what really how come you didn't text me about it?!" Corey said a bit angry.
"Well I didn't want to make you upset especially since you know..." Veronica says. Corey signs then puts on a smile.
"It's fine really it's been what like five months? One day will make up maybe" Corey says putting on a smile as much as she was still mad at Jake she couldn't help but having the feeling of missing him.
"Yeah make up alright" Veronica says with a smirk. Veronica knew all about Corey's crush on her older brother she even tried to set them up together once but they denied saying they were just friends.
"Shut up come on" Corey said slinging her arm around Veronica's shoulder as they walked.
They walked until they got to where the trailers and buses are from being 5 feet away Corey could see the four boys from far. Her heart dropped when she saw Jake as he wore a black velvet jacket with no shirt underneath and black and white striped pants.
"Hey guys look who happens to be here!" Veronica says. The boys turned around and have big smiles on there faces. Josh, Sam, and Danny ran up to her and pulled her in a big brotherly embrace. Corey giggled at the three as they placed her back on her feet.
"Holy shit Corey I didn't think you be here!" Sam says.
"Yeah I didn't think so either but I guess now I am when me and my mom are gonna be on stage soon I ain't leaving anymore guys." Corey says to her friends.
"Well were glad to see you again Corinna" Josh says smiling wide.
Corey smiles also she looks behind the boys and sees the man she never thought she would speak to again.
Jake looked at her with no emotion on his face but then changed as he gave her a warm smile. Corey didn't waste no time but walk to him and pull him in a huge embrace.
"I've missed you Jakey" Corey said muffled in Jake's brown hair but he was able to hear it.
"I've missed you too Corey" Jake spoke not letting go of the girl as he pulled her closer to his chest.
Corey looked up meeting Jake's brown eyes. Before she could speak she phone rang. She groaned annoyed pulling herself away from him and then grabs her phone.
"Yeah?" She asked answering her phone with a bit of annoyance.
"Hey Corey you and Stevie are gonna be on soon so I suggest you come over right now" The man named Sheryl said who was Stevie's manager over the phone.
"Alright I'll be there soon" Corey says then hangs up. She turns and looks back at Jake.
"Sorry I have to go me and my mom are gonna be on stage in a couple of seconds would you and the guys be coming to see?" Corey asked him.
"Yeah for sure wouldn't want to miss it after would you be able to talk to me?" Jake asked.
"Yeah I would be able to" Corey says with a smile, winks at Jake then walks away now in a better mood that she meet her old friend again.
