Welcome back to our meme festival, ladies and gentlemen. For those just joining us in the 3rd episode, we have a Haxorus with Fusion Flare and Secret Sword, an Escavalier with Dragon Rage, a Bellsprout with Secret Sword, and an Empleon with Sacred Fire. We also have a Life Orb in the bag for later to make our attacks stronger. To put it simply, we're sitting pretty in the city.
The bad news, however, is that in order to progress, Cut is mandatory, so I have to teach it to someone on the team. I usually hate putting bad moves on the team, especially when it's required. In a weird sort of lucky way, Kingpin had a number of bad or situational moves already, so it didn't hurt nearly as much when I deleted Smog for Cut. At least Cut has more power than Smog.
But before that, now that we are literally forced to learn this bad Normal type move, let's take advantage of it. Route 2 has a Cut tree that has a couple of items behind it, so I decided to go check it out and see what we got out of that.
Ok, so a DeepSeaScale is borderline worthless because only Clamperl gets any benefit from it, but I also got an Air Balloon, which helps Kingpin avoid Ground moves...but if you get hit at all, it's gone forever. A very situational item made even more situational by not knowing what my opponents will have. Oh well, back to our regularly scheduled Dreamyard trip, featuring interruptions from Bianca.
Well, well, well, what do we have here? During our resident trip to the Dreamyard featuring Bianca, we run into a couple of Team Plasma goons, who are right in the middle of abusing a Pokemon. Yup, these are totally good guys, for sure. Ok, I'll stop doing that now. The bottom line is, as always, in this universe, all problems and differences of opinion must be solved by having our monsters violently beat each other up. I know I said that back when we fought N, but it needs to be said again. But first, we all know what time it is. I like the Team Plasma grunt battle theme. Gen 5 has a lot of good music. Even Sword and Shield, games I openly despise, I will admit have good music. It's probably the only good thing that came out of those games, just like a certain Sonic game that released in 2006 that damaged the franchise pretty badly.
But let's get back to business. First on our grunt extermination is the dude, who has an Abra. Yes, just an Abra. It died in one hit because it's an Abra and has no Defense. Next is the girl with him, who should (hopefully) provide a bit more entertainment.
I know I said I wanted more entertainment, but I was saying that as a joke, game. You don't need to take me literally and throw legendaries at me. Now, to be honest, this could be a problem. This is actually a situation where Will-o-Wisp would've been useful, but that's gone now. This thing resists almost all my moves and can't be touched by Fighting at all. In the end, I decided to try using Kingpin to burn it with Sacred Fire and going from there.
