Ch.11

At The Hospital.

Recovery Girl came out of the surgery room to meet Inko, who had tears bursting from her eyes.
"Recovery Girl, please tell me that my Izuku is going to be okay, please!" The poor mother pleaded.

Recovery Girl looked down and shook her head before saying, "He's in a very bad shape. His right leg is broken, his ribs are a mess and he suffered fatal blows. His shoulder and chest are in a bad shape too and he lost a lot of blood. But that's not the main problem. I'm afraid he has suffered a lot of brain damage, and I don't know when he will wake up again. I'm sorry..." As Recovery Girl finished, Inko immediately fainted, unable to process what just happened to her Izuku.

Meanwhile, All Might who was in his weaker form, heard everything Recovery Girl said from behind a wall. 'Young Midoriya, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault if only I was faster you wouldn't be in this state!' He said in his mind, as his face was shadowed with guilt.

Three days passed.

Principal Nezu and the UA staff were in a meeting about the USJ incident. Despite their injuries, Aizawa were also present as well as All Might. Only Thirteen was absent because of her injuries. Over the past three days, the media was able to question the reputation of UA and their security systems, which made them look bad in the eyes of the public. It also didn't help that the public also knew about Izuku's condition, and that his recovery is in question.

"I believe that this whole mess we're in now is our fault, and the fact that one of our students may never wake up again is enough proof that we have failed as a Hero Course School. Especially since that said student had an amazing debut as a hero in training by being our Number One freshman. We could even agree that Midoriya was able to show early signs of being a potential future Top Hero. Of course, I'm not trying to say that the other students' safety doesn't concern us, but I'm only showing you how bad our image is in the eyes of the public." Nezu explained without using his normal cheerful tone. His statement was able to put guilt on All Might, and Aizawa's faces.

"I'm the one to blame, I was too weak to protect the students, and easily lost after that monster came up. I was the most useless one out there." Aizawa exclaimed with visible frustration.

"No! This is all my fault. If only... If only I hadn't used up all my time in my Hero form, I could've been there from the beginning and stopped the League of Villains from harming anyone." All Might replied in frustration. He felt deeply responsible for what happened to Izuku and the others and couldn't help but blame himself.

"It's okay All Might, it's not your fault alone. We're all guilty as I said. However, I have one specific question for a certain teacher." Nezu said, before turning towards Aizawa. "Aizawa, I need to know why did you allow Midoriya to jump again in the fight against the Villains. I expect that you have a good reason to back up your decision. After all, I know you're a rational person."

Aizawa tightened his fists. His whole face was covered in bandages, but everyone was able to see that he was frustrated. "I... don't have an explanation. I saw him struggling to get up again to fight, but before I could tell him that he's not going anywhere, I looked in his eyes and everything changed."

"What do you mean by everything changed?" Present Mic asked, clearly confused by what his friend was trying to say.

"His power shifted into new heights and my judgement was clouded for a moment. It was like everything was fine and under his control. I couldn't think straight." Aizawa replied.

"I can vouch for this. After all, Young Midoriya was able to match even the Nomu under his power." All Might added.

Midnight grabbed a student file that had Izuku's name on it, before saying, "Let's see... Izuku Midoriya, his Quirk is Lightning. He has the power to manipulate Lightning, super speed and can form weapons out off lightning at will. Does that mean the boy has something other than this? Are we all sure the boy doesn't just enhance his overall traits?" She jokingly said but All Might looks seriously at her joke.
