Chapter Seven

  The next morning Lily is the first person, out of the marauders, in the Great Hall for breakfast and shortly after she began to eat Regulus had walked into the Great Hall, and sat with Lily.  "Woah Reg, what happened to your face?" Lily asked concerned. 

  "Nothing." Regulus spoke grabbing food and putting it on his plate.  "Do you know what is wrong with Y/n?" he added

  "Yeah." Lily spoke then explained what Y/n had told her the night before.  Lily explained it the same way she did for the others.  Regulus looked at her shocked and mumbled to himself under his breath: "That's why he wanted me to stay away from her."

  "What did you say Reg?" Lily asked

  "Oh, nothing." Regulus spoke and as soon as he did the others walked into the Great Hall.  They walked over to the table and sat down.  James sat down next to Lily with Peter beside him, Y/n sat next to Regulus, and Sirius and Remus sat next to Y/n. 

  "Reg, what happened to your face?" Y/n asked looking at Regulus' black eye as she sat down next to him at the table and gently putting her finger over the bruise. 

  "Nothing happened." Regulus replied

  "It doesn't seem like nothing Reg." Sirius said

  "I told you it's nothing!" Regulus spoke then stood up from the bench and left the Great Hall. 

  "I'll go to talk him." Y/n spoke standing up and followed Regulus out of the Great Hall and into the courtyard.  When she got to the courtyard she saw Regulus sitting at the fountain looking into the water.  She walked over to him and sat down next to him.  "Will you tell me what happened to your eye since the others aren't around? Please." Y/n asked and Regulus nodded in response. 

  "It was Severus.  He came into my dorm last night and told me to stay away from you or else he would hurt me.  I told him that I would never stay away from you so he punched me in the jaw, stomach and eye.  He punched me twice in the jaw, twice in the eye and three times in the stomach.  I know I should of told you lot but I didn't want James going over and punching Severus, and getting himself into even more trouble than he already is in." Regulus replied looking down and Y/n just looked at him wide-eyed and in shock. 

  "I understand why you didn't tell anyone but why didn't you listen to Severus.  I mean if you did you wouldn't have a black eye or got punched in the stomach." Y/n spoke

  "I didn't listen to Severus because he isn't going to stop me from seeing you." Regulus spoke looking up at Y/n.  He lifted Y/n's chin to make her look at him and then he kissed her.  Y/n kissed him back and then Regulus pulled away.  "No one will stop me from being with you.  Y/n, will you go on a date with me?" Regulus asked looking Y/n in the eye. 

  "I would love to Reg." Y/n spoke giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek.  Regulus hugged her back and they both just sat there for a while.  "Why don't we go back in.  The others are probably wondering where we are and class is about to start in like five minutes." Y/n spoke standing up and putting her hand out for Regulus to take. 

  "I'm sorry for making you miss breakfast." Regulus spoke taking Y/n's hand and standing up to look at her. 

  "No need to be sorry Reg, I wasn't that hungry anyway." Y/n replied intertwining her fingers with Regulus'.  Regulus looked down at their entwined hands and smiled.  He squeezed Y/n's hand, looked back up at Y/n and kissed her on the cheek.  They both walked back into the Great Hall to see the others still sitting where they were previously.  They walked over to the others and sat down.  "Hey guys." Regulus spoke

  "Hey you two.  Just so you both know we have five minutes until we have to get to our first class." James spoke

  "Alright, why don't we all head to our first class." Peter suggested.  They all got up and started to head to their first class.  They walked Regulus to his first class and somehow none of them noticed Y/n and Regulus holding hands.  Once Regulus was at his class the rest of them split up the boys were together and Y/n was with Lily.  "Y/n, why were you holding Regulus' hand when you two walked into the Great Hall and when we were waking him to his class?" Lily asked
