A Plan To Lessen The Imminent Damage

A pale looking girl was sitting up on her hospital bed, looking out the window of her room.

"Birds are lucky... They get to fly anywhere they want..."

She turns her head at the sound of the door to her room being opened.

"Hey, Kotori! I brought you a light novel you might like!"

A girl who seems to be the same age as the pale girl happily rushes to her.

"A book...?"

I snap my eyes wide open.

I take a look around my surroundings, a bit panicked.

Relieved that it was something new, I sighed and composed myself.

"I didn't think I'd get a dream of my old life..."

I mutter to myself.

I look at the clock and see that it was five in the morning.

That's quite early... Well, it works out for me.

This day was my second day on this school, and there are many days to come that will be filled with challenges, so I need to prepare myself.

As the doors open up, I see who it is.

I flash a smile.

The journey to the school was quiet, but that's okay.

I needed time to gather myself, and prepare what I need to say in front of the class.

Even though I'm fine talking one on ome, talking to a bunch on people while everyone is focused on you is quite nervewracking.

We reached the classroom and sat on our respective seats.

I saw that everyone still hasn't arrived, so the time wasn't right.

I needed to wait.

A few minutes pass by, and slowly all my classmates arrive in the room.

I quickly got up, and went to the front of the room.

I could feel Ayanokouji's stare on my back as I walked.

I got to the podium.

I took a deep breath, and exhaled it out.

A few people already noticed me.

Fully ready, I spoke.
