The next week was slightly nerve racking. Tyler and Tanya were at school, and all eyes were on them. News had gotten out about what had happened at that party, and plenty of people were on their side, while some, predominately friends of the boy in question, were busy harassing Tanya with snide remarks or hateful glares every once in a while. Tanya was basically oblivious to their hate. She didn't care. Their friend should have made better choices. Tyler was sticking by his sister's side more than usual. They shared only two classes together, however, when they had lunch, he always had her and her friends sit with him and his friends.

During lunch, they all were sitting in the cafeteria, chatting mostly about sports, books or other things.

"So...what's going to happen to Austin after this? He gonna get expelled or something?" asked one of the guys.

"I don't rightfully care. However, mommy wants to get him arrested and I'd have to agree..." Tyler said as he took a sip of his water. He watched Austin's friend group from across the way intently, noting their every move in case they tried to do something.

"Shit man...fucked up his whole life just because he was a pussy..." said James, who was busy re-twisting his dreads as he sat with the group.

"Man fuck his life...he nearly screwed up my sister's," Tyler growled. Tanya shook her head. She was just ready for this crap to be over with. She was starting to get irritated with the constant whispering and staring. She quietly ate her lunch, not really paying attention to the conversation and off in a world of her own.

"I know man but still, who does that?"

"A punk who was never told 'no' as a kid..." Tyler muttered. Lunch had ended and the group went their separate ways, heading towards their respective classes, Tyler and Tanya walking together to her science class.

"You doing alright sis? You were pretty quiet during lunch,"

"Honestly? I'm ready for this shit to be over. Everyone keeps staring at me. Not in a malicious way...but seriously though, I just did what anyone should do," she replied.

"I know Tay, but...there may be some other people who he managed to get further with...you may have given them some courage to step forward or something..." he said while hugging her close as they walked. Not long after, a hall monitor, by the name of Tony was walking towards them.

"Hey you two. Principal wants to see y'all," he said as he reached them.

"Oh? Do you know what about?" Tyler asked.

"No idea. They just asked me to get you," he said.

They followed the older gentleman to the main officer where the principal was meeting with someone behind closed doors. Tanya suddenly felt anxious.

"I got a bad feeling about this..." she muttered.

"Yeah...me too," Tyler said as he noticed Austin sitting off to the side on his phone.

Janet was eating her salad at her desk, contemplating when to tell her children her hidden secret. She was also worrying about Toni. Although the emails had died down, there was still a threat prevalent with the situation. She was currently at her sister Towanda's house, taking a moment to breathe and get out of the house for a moment. She decided to call her, just to check in for a moment.

"Hey Jay," she answered. She sounded much more chipper. It helps when you're sister is busy dancing like nobody's watching. All of them had been making her feel better the past couple weeks and it helped that the emails had died down enough to where she hardly ever noticed them sometimes.
