The family walked up the stone steps of the prestigious private school with ferocious tenacity as they prepared for their meeting. Both women decided to wear red dresses, similar but different and unique to their styles, with light makeup, but keeping bold red lips to ensure they were heard when they spoke. The twins were in their usual uniform, but equally as proud and as full of courage as their moms.
Many of the students stood in awe as they watched them walk for their early morning meeting. Many gave them a thumbs up and told them good luck, silently cheering them on as they walked right to the large meeting room within the main office behind the receptionist desk. They already were planned, but the equal support from their counterparts made them feel even better about being on the right side of this fight.
The receptionist let them in. They noticed they had gotten there first. Good. That's exactly what they wanted.
"The Principle will be here in a few minutes...good luck," she said, giving her support as she walked out and shut the door silently behind her. They all took their seats on the window side of the large room in front of the long redwood table. The sun was rising and the last thing they wanted was the sun to be in their eyes while having this discussion and proving their point.
"All you guys ready for this? It's going to be a fight," Janet ask, smoothing her hands over her tightly kept pony tail, making sure the stray hairs weren't too untame. She sat dutifully next to Nicki, who was busy smoothing out the top part of her dress, and smoothing out her natural black hair.
"Heck yeah we are. We've got everything in our laptops and binder, and we went over all of our notes and such...we've got this,"
"It's not us I'm worried about Ty, it's the principal and the rest of the board...if they don't want to do something, will a walk out be enough?" Tanya said as she ran her fingers through her curled hair.
"It's different here though. Most of the girls parents? Are donors. If we all make enough noise, and tell enough other parents, they'll pull their funding, and the school would do anything to get that back," Tyler responded. Tanya nodded. They all chatted a moment between themselves.
Moments later, the door opened and, not surprisingly, The principal walked in with the Austin's family right behind her, as well as the other 4 members of the board of the school. Nicki and Janet both noticed it.
"Well that isn't suspicious at all," Nicki whispered to Janet, who nodded in agreement as everyone sat down.
"Glad everyone could attend this meeting. We will be discussing the current situation, and how the school will be handling it," The principal announced. Little did she know that Tyler was recording the entire conversation.
The conversation went on with Austin's mother giving a crocodile tear performance, pleading for her son to be left off the hook.
"Ms. Blaine. With all due respect. You're son made this decision on his own accord. Had he not done so, we wouldn't even be sitting here right now," Janet said as she crossed her arms, looking the woman up and down. Her pleasantries were not making a appearance that day, she was in a piss poor mood.
"But Mrs. Maraj, is police action really necessary?" said one of the male board members. Tanya knew this and took out the binder.
"These are all the names and statement from other female students. All of them either know or suspect your son to have drugged them, and a few other saying he raped them. This wasn't an isolated incident, and even if it were, police action should be involved,"
"I understand. However, it would give the school a bad image,"
"It would give your school even worse image for not punishing a known sexual offender on your campus. In school suspension isn't enough. He'll just do it again," Nicki said as she adjusted in her seat.
