Norman pov

It had already been an eventful day, with discovering Ray wasn't dead and had actually been at a  farm that experimented on children as well as his plan to murder all the demons.

Killing the demons would be just wrong, Norman knew this. Yet, Norman also knew that is would be the most effective and safest way.

By now, Ray's friends had left, not wanting to interrupt their reconciliation.

Emma abruptly stood up from her seat. "This is wrong! There must be another way! J-just giv-"

Ray rose from his seat as well, irritation flashing in his eyes. It made a chill go down Norman's spine. "And what, Emma. Why do you think it's so wrong?" His words dripping with venom. "Is my plan is too uncivilized  for you?" A question dared to be answered, and Emma answered.

"We've met demons who don't need to eat humans to survive! We can spread the immunity if you just give us a little more time!"

"And how will you spread the immunity? More time is exactly what we don't have! We can't waste any time, Emma. Right here we have an effective and safe plan ready to be executed, and you have an ineffective, unfinished, heavily flawed plan."

Norman decided to speak up. "Give us a week. If we haven't finished and smoothed out our plan, then we can execute yours."

"Four days. Meet back here in four days. If your plan is safe and effective, then I might consider it."

Emma looked like she was about to protest, but closed her mouth and turned to leave. The way back to their base was silent. When we came in the others had started bombarding them with questions.

"Settle down, everyone! They can answer your questions while eating." Anna said, gesturing towards the soup she prepared. Don had started serving everyone food as Anna turned towards Norman and Emma. "Ray isn't joining us?"

Norman hesitated, before muttering, "We'll explain later.."

"He's so different.." Norman said with a sad tone. I could relate. A year and a half spent thinking he was dead. Even though he was physically alive, he looked dead.

"He's planning on killing all the demons." I blurted. "I convinced him to give us four days to find another way."

"Leads us to the point. Emma, Gilda, Don, and I will go out into the forest and seek out Mujika and Sonju. I'm sure they will help us." Norman said swiftly. Of course he'd have a plan already. I always admired his sharp mind.

"Anna, Nat, I'm sure you two can handle things here before we get back." I asked them. The two nodded in response.

Norman smiled. "We'll leave tomorrow morning. Get good rest tonight."
