Ray pov

He was harsh. He needed to be, though. Emma and Norman were foolish. Just like it was at Gracefield..... Emma with her crazy ideals and Norman stupidly supporting them. This time, it would surely get them all killed.

Still, he never liked lying to them. It never got easier.

"Boss! What were you three talking about in there?" Barbara asked as he walked through the door. He gave a tired sigh.

Ray turned toward the others. "Make sure everything is going right. If this plan has even one small flaw, it could be the end to all we've worked for." He put his demon disguise on and headed outside, not before hearing a teasing, "No pressure." From Cislo.

As he walked into the deep forest, He listened for any of the feral demons. He mostly enjoyed his walks when they weren't interrupted. It was a way to escape his group, and mostly his mind. It was calming. 

Ray's pleasant walks never seemed to last long, though, Somewhere in between the drug affect started to kick in again. His head pounded, and his body felt weak. He fell to his knees, tearing the demon mask off as he hacked out blood. 

The teen looked up at the stary night, shaking as blood dripped down his chin. 

"I'm sorry... I'm truly sorry..."

Emma's pov

Timeskip

We had started our search for Sonju and Mujika early in the morning, deciding there would be no time to waste. 

It was already late during the second day of searching when we had found them. Or rather, they found us when they saved me from a wild demon.

We explained our situation to them, and requested for their help. "Of course. Let's get there right away." Mujika agreed, getting back onto Sonju's corpse horse thingy. 

Norman gave her an appreciative nod. "We have about two days left before Ray will start his plan. I'm sure we can convince him with you two there," He noted. 

"Guys..." I heard Gilda's small voice behind me. I turned around to face her, confused. She held up a finger to the distance.

Smoke. I was almost ashamed of myself when I came to the conclusion almost immediately. The smoke could only mean one thing, after all.

Authors note} I feel like I just might finish up the real angsty part then skip to when they get to the gate and living happily ever after. (Don't worry, there will be Norray soon) Btw, I was thinking of starting another fanfiction after this. Should I do a villain Shoto au, another Tpn angsty Ray au? I might just bust out my old fanfic Clouded Sky and revise it. I have been craving a good Sasuke angst fanfic recently too..... tell me what you think.
