Okay, so basically people consider Ash's design and personality as a reboot, but that's just redesigning, many series have done this to characters and art designs like, Kirby's Meta Knight, Sonic the Hedgehog Characters in general, specifically: Sonic, Metal Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Eggman or what people used to call him: Dr. Robotnik! However, rebooting something actually flat out erases the previous plot And sure, Ash "forgets" old strats, but consider this: You fight Pikachu on the Water and rock battlefield from the Kalos league, and to get rid of sandstorm he uses the water, but you have seen this before, what happens? (Try to guess)

You could avoid the hit after it or counter Ash in his tracks entirelySee if Ash relies on old strategies 24/7, if the enemy has seen it, it can backfire on Ash! Ash using unique strategies every time or bringing old strategies back a few times makes it hard to counter attack! Using the same plan to win gets dull, and maybe Ash Ketchum realizes this too canonically, so he uses different strategies in order to win battles, so it's not so easy to have him completely read.

One way to put this is how in the battle he has with me in We Will Carry On's original timeline (without MissingNo or Ashlie), he tries to do the Flare Blitz underground move, but Mew uses Aura Sphere to blast him out, and finishes Infernape off, and Goomba quote on quote states "I see you tried to use that old tactic from the Sinnoh League, I'm impressed by how you use old strategies very few times, because it mostly backfires if you use them too often, that just because they worked very well, doesn't mean they always work, especially if your opponent knows what you're trying to do."

Also as insult to injury later in our battle, he tries to use Greninja's speed and ninja skills to try and take down Spiky, but I used the speed against Greninja by having Spiky use Iron Tail to bounce off of it, then use a combo of Volt Tackle and Play Rough (which I will call Volt Rough), and while it does knock out Spiky from full HP with the recoil being equal to how much she did to Greninja, Greninja also gets one shot from the attack!

Another thing is that, in my opinion, the Grand Trial Battles (and the trials) Ash had in Alola, seemed to be the most fair ways he won, more fair than the actual League Battles themselves! Let me explain!

Besides that one battle on Poni Island where there was water, there was almost nothing to allow Ash or the Kahuna to gain the upper hand! All were on flat solid battlefields, for the case of Pony Island's Grand Trial...technically, it's partly Hapu's fault for Ash using the water against her because SHE'S the one who chose that location to battle, not really Ash's fault it was helping him! With the Alola League battles, there were walls that Ash actually USED in the battle!

In the Kalos League, some strats were only possible with the terrain! Ash and Sawyer using the trees, and Ash using the water to get rid of the sandstorm from Sand Stream! Also, um, Ash didn't use a Water Move in the Rain, against Alain's Charizard!

Now, I get it, the looks are more goofy looking, but in hindsight, that's what I think makes it better than other anime series, the fact it's not just for people that like fights, it's also available for people of all ages, even kids, which not many anime shows besides Pokemon have accomplished! I mean, saying Naruto is for people of ages 5 is like saying a rated M game is rated T for Teen! ... Call of Duty is a gruesome shooter game, and you can't argue with that in the slightest! You could also argue of Destiny and Destiny 2 needing to be Rated M, but then again, you don't see any human blood at least. :| Also, is this the worst thing to happen? I mean, the Movie/Ugly Sonic was an adaptation for real life, but the artists decided to recon it because sometimes realism isn't always needed!

I'm just saying to people who seem to disrespect it, maybe for this once, look deeper and try to see things from a different point of view.
