As we lie in the flower bouquet, Isabela and I are giddy and exhausted.
"You're a bad influence," Isabella said to me I smile, pleased with how our relationship has evolved.
"What the hell is going on?" Abuela asked calmly as she screamed.
Isabella and I both stood up, surprised to learn... Because of Isabela's overgrown plants, Abuela walks into the courtyard, which appears insane and dangerous.
"Abuela!" I exclaimed, squealing with delight.
"It's all right, everything's fine; we're going to save the miracle—the magic." I kept smiling and giddy.
"What are you on about?" Look at our home. Look at your sister! " Abula inquired of me.
"Please, just-Isabela wasn't happy and-" But Abuela interrupted me.
"Of course she's upset; you sabotaged her proposal."
"No, no, she needed me to sabotage her proposal, and then we did all of this, and the candle burned brighter, and the cracks —" I tried to explain.
"Mirabel!" Abuela stated
"I'm in the vision because I'm saving the miracle!" I continued.
"You have to stop, Mirabel!" Abuela screamed at me.
The entire Encanto is shaken by a tremor. Luisa walks into the courtyard, concerned, and joins Isabela.
"You started the cracks. Bruno left because of you. Isabela is out of control, and Luisa is losing her abilities. Because of you, "I'm not sure why you weren't given a gift, but that doesn't mean you have to hurt this family!" As Abuela says, cracks appear all around her. My heart nearly breaks when I look at Abuela. Mama and Papa walk in after hearing the argument.
"I'll never be enough for you. Will I? "
"No matter how hard I try." Then I had a quiet realization as she looked at her family.
"No matter how hard any of us try." I looked at my sisters.
"Luisa will never be strong enough." "Isabela won't be perfect enough – Bruno left our family because you only saw the worst in him." I will continue.
"Bruno didn't care about this. family —" Abuela started.
"He loves this family—I love this family! We all love this family! You're the one that doesn't care! You're the one breaking into our home! " I told her: Cracks were beginning to spread in the town.
"Don't you ever--!" Abuela becomes angry.
"The miracle is dying, because of you!" I stated the facts, but I saw the realization on my grandmother's face. But in that awful moment, a huge crack rips open between us. As everyone stares at each other, stunned and horrified,
"No, no, no!" I heard my Tia scream in horror.
"The candle!" Tio Felix shouted in fear.
We all heard a huge crack! echoing Suddenly, a huge crack nearly rips the house in half... snaking up to the CANDLE... which begins to melt at a rapid pace, teetering and in danger of falling into the dark chasm created by the cracks. As everyone tries to get their bearings, I snap out of it, and race to save the candle. I dialed the number for the house:
"Casita, get me up there!" I yelled at Castia. The house pulls a railing from the balcony for me to use. as I tried to climb the ladder to climb to the roof. Isabella tries to use her vines to reach the candle, but her door fades and her vines dissipate like they were snapped. The house catches Isabela and breaks her fall. Camilo tries to change his shape to reach the candle, but his door and His abilities fade. The house catches Camilo and sets him down to safety, but he can't reach the candle.
"No," Camilo says quietly, but I hear him. I reach the roof's peak and look back to see
The Encanto's MOUNTAINS CRACK OPEN, just like in Bruno's Vision. Antonio stands nearby, watching as his animals smash through his door, which dies and the animals flee. Félix narrowly saves him when a section of the house falls on him.
"Careful! Antonio! We gotta get out of here!" Tio Felix shouted at Antonio.
"Mirabel! Mirabel! " I heard my mama yell, but I was determined I could make it. But the house sees the danger too and starts pushing people out of the house to save them. It is desperately using its last ounce of strength to keep them safe.
"Mirabel! Mirabel!" "You must leave!" I could hear my father yell at me, but I ignored it.
"Mirabel!" Mama screamed in desperation. When I look around to the side of the house, I see Bruno safe and running to the candle. In real life, I sign as Abuela, am shoved out the front door, and look up to see Mirabel scrambling across the roof to the candle.
Mirabel, Mirabel! "Leave it, Mirabel!" I ignore Mama because I believe that if I save the miracle, I will be accepted into this family. I finally reach for the candle, but it falters. The House comes to her aid just in time, propping her back up.
"Mirabel!" "The House is Going to Fall!" I chose to ignore Tio Felix's yell that went unheeded.
"Mirabel! Mirabel!" Get out! " Tia Pepa screamed, stunned. "Do they care about my well-being?" I wondered. However, I ignored that thought.
I strain to reach the sputtering candle... Bruno's tower collapses on the roof just as I reach for the candle. The house slides me out of the way and off the balcony as debris falls. I land but have no time to flee. In an instant, the house shields me, saving my life in the process. In the aftermath, I look down to see if the candle has gone out. I became devastated.
"No," I spoke in a tiny whisper. Then there was a tiny squeak from the house shutters that had just saved us.
My hinges wave an injured goodbye... and as I look up, the house... perishes. That's when I realized I'd screwed up. I felt like a failure. I couldn't face my parents like this. I wanted to run, but as I sat in the rubble, family members raced in, but I was lost in thought. Mama rushes over to me in the rumble.
"...Mirabel..." Mama yelled in fear, but I couldn't move. I begin to hear the faintest background whine of my disorganized family. Mama comes over to check on me as they press in on my face.
"Mirabel!" Are you hurt? Mirabel? " "No, she isn't hurt," I shook my head as she blurted out through the fog. She, on the other hand, is stunned and reeling.
"Julieta, Julieta!" Come quick! Julieta! " Tia Pepa spoke in a hurried tone.
"Do not move; I will be right back!" Mama said this to me before leaving me alone with my thoughts. Julieta leaves to go check on the rest of the family, I can only hear everyone continuing to panic.
"How could this happen?" my Tia said in a hurried tone.
"Everyone, okay? Is everyone okay? " Papa asked everyone in question.
I look over to see Dolorlooklping Abuela, who is despondent and in shock. As I watch Abuela, I am struck by how lost and broken she looks... My chin starts to quiver as the weight of her failure becomes overwhelming. This is my failure and I know it.
"Here, let me help you. Let me help you." My cousin Dolores said to Abuela, I kept hearing the whole family's upsetting questions and statements.
"Antonio, don't cry, papito, don't cry."
"I couldn't hold it."
"The Encanto is broken."
"What do we do now?"
"My powers... they're gone!"
"What about Antonio? What is he going to do? "
I knew what I had to do. I reached the crack that opened up in the mountain. As the Encanto glows in the background, I will leave my home behind in the darkness of the outside world...
