"Well then ladies and gentlemen, seems like business is as usual. I now call this meeting adjourned." Prime Minister Oda concluded their final cabinet meeting for the week.
Reprimanding underperforming ministers, cancelling out their preposterous proposals, for the Prime Minister, it is difficult to balance power and interest when dealing in a coalition.
"Prime Minister." His staff called for his attention.
"The Royal Committee chief is outside."
"Oh, well tell him I'll be out in a minute." He ordered his staff as he pack his documents.
After clearing things out in the cabinet room, he made his way to the Royal Committee chief.
"What is it?" He bluntly questioned once his sights have finally caught the chief.
The Royal Committee chief seemed to be in a daze. Tapping his foot on the floor audible enough to annoy anyone, his arms crossed, and his sights looking down before the Prime Minister called for his attention.
He then approached the Prime Minister close enough to put him in a weird spot.
"Can we talk somewhere private?" The chief requested, sweat drops fall to the side of his face.
Prime Minister Oda is left confused on why the chief seemed to be in frightened mood.
"Sure." He replied, they then moved to a more discreet place within the Parliament. After a much more silent, awkward walk together, they finally reached the back balcony of the Parliament.
The balcony overlooks over the building's garden, both deemed it discreet enough to have their conversation.
The chief closed the doors behind him and faced the Prime Minister in a distance.
"I have received reports sir." The chief started off.
"There are reports that the Geishin Militants have returned."
"Where did you get that news?" Prime Minister Oda was shocked to hear such reports from the Royal Committee chief.
"Royal Intelligence sir." He kindly replied as he still trembles in confusion.
"Have you told His Majesty about it?" The Prime Minister asked.
"No sir, I followed the protocol. I first confirmed if the reports are accurate, and headed straight to you to tell you, sir."
"The Geishen Militants were crushed 7 years ago when I was still a commanding officer, either their members surrendered to the authorities, or have died for their asinine cause." The Prime Minister recalled about their victory over government rebels, basically shrugging off such reports.
"But sir, their revival came with a threat as well." The chief is not done yet.
"Reports also came in saying that,
They've already infiltrated the government.
And an attack is underway against His Majesty."
The Prime Minister is left in shock after hearing such news from the Royal Committee chief.
"What did you say?" He asked him to clarify the report once more.
"The Geishin Militants are back,
and are preparing to attack the King."
"That's simply unrealistic." Prime Minister Oda still shrugs off such threat to the monarch.
"But sir—"
"But don't you worry, even if I know that it is bad intel, I'll still contact the Chief of Staff to verify on the report." The Prime Minister then held the chief on his shoulder.
