The wind was cold enough to feel some light shiver pass through,
The light that emanates from the night sky was enough to cast illumination.
The hummed roar of the crowd fills the open road.
Confusion and doubt continue to hold everyone with a tight grip.
As she gazes upon the Castle with its lights dimly lit from afar, Hikaru couldn't help but worry on what is truly happening within its walls.
Wading through the number of people just to get closer to the gates of the Castle, Hikaru felt a light buzz on her left pocket.
She quickly took out her phone and saw her mother's number on the screen. Pressing the answer button, her mother's voice is marked with deep concern.
"Hikaru? Where are you? Please go home already." Her mother pleaded.
"I'm still at the avenue mom, please don't worry, everything has already settled down." She tried to calm her mother down, but it was to no avail.
"Hika, there were gunshots heard from the Castle, are you sure about yourself? Please get home already."
"Don't worry mom, please I'm fi—" As she was talking, a hand suddenly grabbed her and pulled her to the side.
After which an ambulance came quickly, passing through to where she was standing. She was in a short shock before finally realizing what almost happened to her.
"Ah!" she squealed.
Fixing herself up, Hikaru then quickly gave thanks and apology to the one who helped her.
Only to realize that it was a friend.
"Niki?"
"Hikaru?"
To be precise, it was her friend during her time in high school, a friend from the same club as well back then.
"Oh heavens! Thank you for that!" Hikaru bowed politely to apologize to him.
"Oh, please don't, you don't need to do that, just be safe next time." Niki was quick to disregard her efforts to apologize in such a manner.
As she regrets herself being unmindful of her surroundings, she quickly returned to her mom's call and assured her that everything will be fine before dropping the call.
"By the way, what are you doing here?" Niki asked Hikaru.
"Oh, my shift just ended, and I couldn't go home since the stations are closed, then I heard about the situation here, so I decided to check it out." Hikaru replied.
"How about you? Why are you here?" She then asked the same question.
"Well, I got a job for the royal kitchen and my boss told me to report to the Castle, I arrived just as when the city exits were closed." Niki answered.
