Trigger Warning: Gunshots/Blood

"What is it, Major Kim?"

"You have to see it for yourself ma'am!" Dahyun exclaimed on top of her lungs, urging the still shaken queen to follow her immediately.

Mina then proceeded to try stand up, but somehow her legs have turned to jelly, with all the distress bombarded towards her, one can understand her demise.

Prime Minister Mizuno then assisted Her Majesty to get on her feet. She almost fumbled against her own weight, but the Prime Minister was quick to catch her by the hand.

With Chaeyoung leading the way, they then proceeded to what made Dahyun enraptured.

In the four corners of her bedroom, Dahyun, holding a flashlight, started pushing the wooden cabinet within her room. Visibly struggling with the weight of the wardrobe, the Prime Minister provided help.

With all their might, they ferociously shoved the wardrobe, with how dense it is, they thought that it might have been nailed to the floor. Yet, a loud creak heightened their senses.

The wardrobe started moving, fatigued, the two ventured on, pushing it with force until such sight greeted them with delight.

"Is that?"

"A passageway." Dahyun answered Chaeyoung's question before she could even finish.

With the revelation of the tunnel to Mina and others, its dark, dusty rigid passage both invoked fear and hope to all.

"How did you find this?" The Prime Minister asked Dahyun.

"I began searching the whole side of the Castle sir, looking for any way for us to get out." Dahyun started explaining.

"Windows, hollow walls, everything. Then I stumbled upon an old story.

Back then, the Castle was used as a base during old wars, they say that it had a tunnel system hidden enough, that new blueprints could not detect it."

Mina, alongside Chaeyoung and Prime Minister Mizuno were left staggered with what they heard. Their eyes wonder around on what could be their freedom at last.

"Thank the heavens you've found this Dahyun, now let's go." The Prime Minister urged.

Before they could step foot through the dark tunnel, the three were stopped on their tracks with what Mina uttered.

"I'm staying."

With the Prime Minister's foot already on the cobblestones of the old underground tunnel, the words stated by Mina froze his body.

3 pairs of eyes shifted rapidly towards Her Majesty. All bearing concerns.

"Ma'am?" Chaeyoung asked.

"I'm staying here." Mina responded with her reserved yet focused voice.

All are left speechless with the Queen's determination, their mind riddled and puzzled with questions as to why she would make such necessary sacrifice, yet no words were respectful enough to question her.

"We have to go, ma'am. It's for your safety." Dahyun strongly insisted, signaling Mina to finally move along.

"No." Mina sternly answered, words enough to sting her security staff.

"The Prime Minister is right." Mina began expounding her choice.

"The people see me as their hope. That is why I am staying." Prime Minister Mizuno and others are still left baffled.
