Chapter 8: Greetings, New Era

"Huh, I knew it they would post a message." Mina said as she finished reading the posted announcement by her now former company. She wasn't surprised by it as she already knew the plan for her departure.

She then handed back the iPad to Chaeyoung, she continued to scroll and check more on this latest news.

"There are already thousands of comments about it, ma'am." Chaeyoung told her boss.

"What did they say?" Mina was curious to hear what those reactions would say.

"Well, most of them are angry, and some are questioning the reason why they didn't reveal the reason of your withdrawal ma'am." Chaeyoung replied while she carries on reading from her pad.

"One said: 'This is too abrupt JYPE, they were at their peak, and you just end it like that?'"

"What does Geishin have to do with her leaving?"

"Is she in any problem? Why aren't you telling us? #ProtectMina"

Chaeyoung's face turned shocked as she scrolls down more on the webpage to see the reactions of the many commenters. Mina responded with a giggle as she saw the look of her secretary's face.

"Well, that's the power of fans Chaeyoung, but they'll know eventually." She spoke.

Then suddenly, a man approached Chaeyoung and showed something from his pad, it took her attention and showed it to Mina.

"Ma'am look at this." She then showed it to Mina.

A news reader reporting about her sudden exit.

"Breaking news, JYP Entertainment just announced that Mina Yamamoto, a member of the well-known group FourMe has left the company and Damjeon as well..."

Mina watched the broadcast with full focus.

While holding the iPad, Chaeyoung ordered the man, which was one of her assistants, to quickly broadcast the news on the plane's in-flight television.

The television then opened and everyone's attention tuned in to it.

"Mina, an acclaimed member of FourMe has left the country according to the latest statement of her company, and due to her dismissal, the company decided to disband the group as well, leaving all their fans outraged for this sudden break-up."

"We have our correspondent Kang Sang-hoon at stand-by in front of JYPE HQ..."

The scenery they witnessed during the report left them shocked.

The outside of the HQ was already full of fans demonstrating their frustration due to the latest news release.

People were shouting "Protect Mina!" in front of the establishment, some fans were even seen crying.

Mina was stupefied to see her supporters in great worry about her.

"The number of people who've flocked here since the release of the statement has doubled, ever since a leak was revealed that Mina Yamamoto was adopted by the JYP himself, a handful of people were already waiting outside the building for any announcement to be made."

"Securities are now placed all throughout the complex to keep the people from barging in, some have said that it almost looks like a government protest, only for the protesters to be identified as fans. Let us try to interview one person."

The reporter then approached and asked a fan holding their group lightstick and a banner saying "JYPE #ProtectMina"

"Ma'am, may we interview you for a moment?" The reporter asked the fan. The fan agreed.
