joelocke03:
Hey, Scarlett. I have a question for you

Scarlett_delacour:
Hey, Joe. What's up

joelocke03:
Do you like Kit?

Scarlett_delacour:
He's my friend, so yeah

joelocke03:
Yasmin said you're good at avoiding that question

Scarlett_delacour:
Ok, I may like Kit but that doesn't mean anything

joelocke03:
He likes you too, though. Why not just go for it?

Scarlett_delacour:
Because he's famous! I'm not! I'm just a YouTuber from the south! Plus this won't mean anything when he eventually goes back to the UK!

joelocke03:
You never know, Scarlett

Sighing I put my phone in my pocket, there's no way Kit likes me. He's my friend, nothing else. Kit's front door opened and he walked out in the school uniform.

"You waited until the very last minute to leave your house, didn't you?" I smiled as he looked up, my earbuds are in but aren't playing anything.

"Well, I got here on a Friday and it's only been a weekend. There wasn't much time for me to mentally prepare for the American School system." Kit walked up pulling one of my earbuds out.

"That's fair, the school system here is horrible,"

The bus pulled up and I walked up the stairs of the bus. "Good morning," I said to the bus driver. I walked to my normal seat, it was the 2nd to last week of school so I had almost nothing in my bag. Kit looked lost on where to sit so I waved him over. "Here, sit with me. It'll save you some trouble of finding a seat," I scooted over and he sat next to me.

"Thanks, I don't want to take anyone's seat," Kit smiled at me. We sat there in silence until the one girl I hate walked onto the bus. She takes one look at Kit and decides to try to act like my friend.

"Oh my God, Scarlett, you never said you knew Kit Connor! You know he's, like, my celebrity crush!" She gushed, I don't even know her name. How she knows mine is the biggest question that I have.

"I didn't, I've never talked to you before. I don't even know your name, I'm not awake enough for this. Please, don't act as if you know me because I know Kit," I sighed and leaned my head against Kit's shoulder.

"Ok, damn, you could have done that nicer," she flipped her hair and walked to the back of the bus.

"Have you never talked to her?" Kit asked leaning his head against mine.

"I have once, and that was just to ask her to step aside so I can get past,"

"I'm going to guess that there are going to be a lot of people who pretend to be friends with you just to get to me,"

"You guess right. I'm just glad that we got some strings pulled so we have the same classes." The bus pulled into the bus loop and I already was dreading school.

Walking into the school, I heard everyone start talking about Kit. I rolled my eyes and started walking a tad bit faster, my hand was grabbed and I quickly looked back. It was just Kit holding my hand.

"Slow down, not everyone is a fast walker," Kit had pulled me closer to him to talk in a low voice.

"Sorry, I just hate the people here," I laughed slightly.

"Hey, Scarlett!" I heard my name and looked over. It was Cameron Stage, he's not exactly a friend but he's also someone I've talked to from time to time.
