Chapter 5: More Questions than answers.

Auror Department. Ministry of Magic. (3rd Person P.O.V)

The Auror Department in the Ministry of Magic had been in a certainly heavy crunch lately. And that was thanks to the escape of Sirius Black. Aurors were not working on the clock to hunt down Black. It was even more of a big issue thanks to Fudge assuring that all was well and that they would have Black soon. 

"12 years in Azkaban. All that waiting... all that planning. And to hunt down the boy who lived and finish the job-" 

"Corey. Are you narrating again?!" Mad Eye shouted. 

Corey straightened up from her wheelchair. "No. I'm just recapping where we stand now." She said. She wheeled around to Mad Eye Moody. "You know with the Semester at Hogwarts beginning and all. And you thought this assignment at the Aurors would be boring, Tonks." 

Nymphadora Tonks who was in the final year of her Auror Training had heard about Sirius Black escaping. "More action then I signed on for. I'll tell you that much." She said. "Though I'm surprised that Black was the one to escape. You would think that my Aunt Bellatrix would be the one to do it." 

"Either way, Nymphadora- Tonks, sorry." Mad Eye corrected. He knew that Tonks didn't like to be called Nymphadora. 

"You're forgiven." Tonks grunted. 

"Sirius Black is out of Azkaban. And we're going to put him back behind bars. The turncoat." Mad Eye announced with his grit teeth. The thought of Sirius Black the traitor escaping left a sour taste in his mouth. 

"Isn't that what we've been doing for the past couple of months?!" Jae Kim shouted. 

"We wouldn't have to be if you were keeping a closer eye on Knockturn Alley." Mad Eye countered. 

"I told you, I looked everywhere in that Alley." Jae reminded. 

That was when Fudge walked in. "Have we found Black yet?" He asked. 

"No." Everyone answered. 

"We even got a letter from Alanza in Brazil. She says that's Black's not in Brazil but she'll keep looking." Tonks added. 

"Curses!" Jae yelled suddenly. "This can only mean one thing." 

"What?" Corey asked. 

"I should've gone to Brazil." Jae answered. 

"We've also got Shacklebolt and his crew on the field hunting down Black. So far nothing." Mad Eye informed Fudge.

"Well... where's Ethan?" Fudge asked. 

Everyone in the Auror Office looked at each other nervously. "He's in a bad mood. No talking to anybody today. Especially you." Jae answered.  

"Why?" Fudge asked. 

Mad Eye looked annoyed. "Oh I don't know. Maybe it has to do with the fact that someone let the Dementors out of Azkaban and they went over to Hogwarts and attacked Ethan's little sister." He answered. Lupin informed the Aurors about what had happened. 

"We...we have a killer on the loose." Fudge reminded. 

"Try telling Ethan that." Jae banged on the door to Ethan's Office. "Ethan! Fudge is at the door! Get out here!" 

The Door flung open. "He's pissed." Corey commented.

And Ethan was indeed pissed. He stomped over to Fudge. "I consider myself a reasonable person, Minister." He said dangerously calm at first. "I have responsibilities as an Auror to protect the world from Dark Wizards and darkness. And I believe that Dementors are considered part of that darkness. But you gave my assurance that everything would be fine." He took a deep breath. But the look in his eyes said it all. "So... Minister. Tell me." He still had that calm voice.
