"I have an idea," Wanda's voice cut through the tension filling the waiting room. Everyone looked at her as she still stayed glued to Vision's side. "We can enter her subconscious like we did to pull her from the nightmare."

"Yes," Steve quickly responded. "We need to talk to her—I need to talk to her."

"You're not getting near her, Rogers," Tony growled.

"Tony," Pepper scolded. "He may be our only chance at keeping her here."

"Fine, he can go near her, but I get to go in first."

"Stark, you don't—"

"It's fine, Bucky," Steve interrupted his friend. "Tony can go first."

"Vision and I will go in there and connect with her first," Wanda explained. "We'll let you know when we're ready."

The breeze was cool against your bare skin, counteracting the shining sun. The sundress covering your body swung against the continuous breeze. You were standing in a wildflower field, no sight of any city or town. You knew it wasn't real but you kept looking around at the beauty, wishing that it was.

"Hey, kid," Tony's voice sounded from behind you. You didn't even bother to turn around, simply bending slightly to pick one of the flowers. "What ya doing here?"

"Waiting," you replied with a shrug, walking away from Tony while twirling the stem of the wildflower in your hand.

Tony began following after you. "What exactly are your waiting for?" You didn't respond. "Y/N, please. You can't—"

"Can't do what? Can't die on you?"

"Yes," Tony hurried so that he was just a step behind you, "because if you were to die, so would I. So would Natasha and Bucky and Sam and Wanda and Steve."

You scoffed. "You would all be fine."

"No, we would not." Tony rushed around you and stopped you in your tracks. "Y/N, you can't be serious about this." You looked away. His hands found your arms, hoping that maybe physical contact would help. "None of us would be fine if you were dead. We almost died—I almost died because of what losing you was doing to me. You are my best friend, Y/N. I can't lose you." You closed your eyes, trying to stop the tears. "Does this have to do with what happened to Rogers? Because I will kill him if you need me to."

"No," you shook your head, stepping from Tony's grasp. "Yes—No. I don't know! UGH!" You bit down on your lip as you silently looked at Tony for a couple of seconds. "I... I don't know if I can do this." Your small, quiet voice almost broke Tony into pieces. "I don't know if I'm strong enough to do this... to fight... to stay alive..."

"Of course, you are strong enough. You were strong enough to survive all the torture you went through and strong enough to survive the other surgeries... You are stronger than us all. You've proven that time and time again." You sighed and Tony took the needed steps to get right in front of you again. "What do you need to come back? No missions? You've got it, I'll have you pulled from the roster immediately. You want a private life? Tell me where and I'll find you a house. Build you a house if I have to. You want me to kick one of the teammates out. On it. I've been looking for a reason to get Barnes and Rogers out of the Tower. I will do anything, Y/N. Please, just please, don't choose to die on us. Don't leave us."

"I... I need to think, Tony. I appreciate you coming here and pleading your case."

"I'm not the only one who wants you to fight. I won't be the last person you see here."

"I figured."

Tony pulled you into him, holding a kiss to your temple. "I love you, kid... please know that."
