It's been six months since Blake and Chloe started dating. I believe their relationship is not the best out there but they make it work somehow. He's really sweet towards her, he's such an angel but she, on the other hand, is a complicated girl. She gets mad about everything and argues for nothing. She's so toxic, just how I imagined she would be.
She makes herself believe she is great and one of a kind, but in reality, she's sometimes a monster, especially to Blake, and I can't stand how much she manipulates him. To be honest, Blake and I have been distant for a while, I don't know if it's because she made him take distance, or simply he's too busy simping for her. Fuck it.
I was walking around campus getting to my last class of the day. I sat by myself, since I don't know anyone from this class, and checked my phone. Chloe had texted me, telling me she needed some advice on Blake. I responded that we could meet at lunch time.
I hope she knows my loyalty will always be towards him.
"Hey, is this seat empty?" I heard, I looked up from my phone, and there was this light skin boy with cute dimples and the most beautiful smile. He had black hair and small eyes. I've never seen him before, but most likely I just never noticed
"It is!" I smiled
"I'm Axel, by the way." He smiled back
"It's a pleasure, I'm Maggie. I've never seen you around."
"Oh well as you may know, we're almost at the end of the semester, so of course I've been here the whole time, just sitting at the back, but I didn't want to miss the chance of meeting the prettiest girl in finance class." I immediately blushed at his words
"That's really sweet of you, believe me, I wish I could've met you sooner, I've been by myself since the semester started." I said
"I noticed." He winked
The professor walked in and started with the lesson. He made us work in pairs and of course I partnered up with Axel. He's really smart in this class, he knew most of the definitions and how to interpret everything. I felt comfortable working with him. Our professor let us leave early, as he usually does, and I walked out with Axel.
We said our goodbyes but he didn't ask for my number, so maybe I was not so interesting to him at the end. Well, that's what usually happens to me, and I can't do anything but laugh.
I got into my car and drove to Friday's, where I was meeting Chloe. She was already there, with her phone in her hand, and drinking diet coke. She saw me, and stood up to give me a big hug. I hugged her back and sat down. As we ordered our food, she immediately started speaking about her problems with Blake,
"It turns out that things aren't really working between us, but no one has done anything to hurt each other, it's just, I don't know what to do.."
"Listen Chloe, you have to understand that he's my best friend, but if you're not happy around him anymore, you should break up with him, because there's plenty of fish in the sea, and you won't be running out of breath for just one fish. Your happiness matters but so does Blake's. He's an amazing boy, but you know what works for you." I stated, drinking from my water
"You think so?" I nodded, "Maggie, I just need you to be quiet and discrete about what I'm going to say, but I've been getting to know this other guy, and he told me he liked me, and I lowkey think I like him too. Does that make me a bad person?" She said worried
Of course
Starting off by you telling your boyriend's best friend about it
"I mean, it's normal. Those type of things happen, you just have to be honest with Blake and break up if you feel like you'll be happier somewhere else with someone else. Just make sure he understands it's not anyone's fault, relationship just wasn't working."
"Just please don't tell Blake about what we talked."
"I won't, believe me, it's not my right to say it because it's not my relationship, but you better tell him."
She nodded, and thanked me. We payed our bill and finally I headed home. Tonight, we were going to a party the seniors were throwing, since they're almost graduating.
I took a quick nap and when I woke up, I started getting ready. Soon after being done, Josh messaged my phone indicating he was there to pick me up.
Josh is my other best guy friend. They're both my brothers but my relationship is different with both of them. Josh is the one who will actually call me stupid if he needs to, and Blake is more of the protective type.
"Hello yoshi!" I yelled getting in the passenger's seat
"Here you come to take my peace away from me." He rolled his eyes
"How rude." I answered
"Just kidding Mag, come on, play the music you want to."
He handed me his phone, and we both started blasting some good music to get the party started, and suddenly, we were already outside the house where the party was taking place
