Ron's POV:
I was confused as I didn't know what to wear so I nonetheless chose to wear a black button-up shirt and black pants for the friendly date.
I hurriedly took a shower and used my best body spray. I got dressed and checked the time; I sped down the stairs and locked my house. I entered the garage, entering my car I started the engine and took the car out of the driveway and accelerated it towards Evangeline's house. I approached her house and parked on the street, Evangeline emerged from inside. I opened the door and walked to the other side to meet her.
"Hey, you look beautiful" I smiled at her.
She was wearing blue skinny jeans with a green shirt and 2 inch high heels and the make-up was not like her usual caked-up face, it was normal like any other normal teenage girl.
"Thank you" She continued "Why don't you come inside for a while? My mother wanted to meet the person who was taking me on a 'Friendly Date'!" She laughed.
"Well, Why not?"
"And my mother's name is Carol Young. Do remember!"
"OK"
We entered her house and she took me towards the living room where her mother was sitting drinking coffee I guess.
"Mom, meet Ron! He's the one taking me to our 'Friendly date'!" Evangeline said.
"Good afternoon Miss. Young" I smiled at her.
"Good afternoon to you to, and please call me Carol" Miss. Young or Carol told me.
"Ok Carol" I said shyly.
"Good, so you are taking my daughter to a 'Friendly date' as she says" She asked suspiciously.
"Yes, if you don't have any problems and I can assure you it's a friendly date. This date is just a beginning for our new friendship because our last friendship if I may say wasn't on good terms" I explained her smiling.
"Sure, but do take care of my baby" She smirked at Evangeline.
"Mom" Evangeline dragged out the word to make a point.
"Evangeline you will always be my baby" She smiled at her and continued looking towards me "Ron, I know you are a good guy but do take care of her and bring her by dinner"
I nodded and we headed outside to my car, we waved towards Carol and then headed and drove out of the driveway.
"Didn't it look like that your mother didn't believe that we were going on a friendly date?" I asked her.
"Yeah, she was acting just like a mother sending her daughter on a date. God that was embarrassing!" we chuckled.
"So, where do you want to go?" I asked her.
"How about we go to small café downtown? What was it called? Yeah! Fusion Café" She asked.
"Sure, it would be fun" I smiled at her.
We had small conversations during the car ride. We approached the café, it was a small café with a homey look and was having purple walls and tiled floors. We parked at the car at the parking lot and entered the café side by side. We sat near at a table near the window. We called the waiter who apparently was a girl from our school.
"How may I help you?" She asked me too much cheery.
"Let the lady tell first" I said wanting to be a gentlemen.
She turned towards Evangeline and faked a smile asking "Your order mam?"
"Yeah" She skimmed the menu and continued "How about a small chocolate coffee for both of us?" She looked at me and I nodded."-And coffee for me with chocolate toppings! What about you Ron?"
