Is Love Just Not Enough?

Chapter 3

Ron’s POV:

I woke up at around 6:45 A.M. the next day, I took a nice and hot shower to take off all the laziness because of Katie’s and I’s little escapade of the shopping mall yesterday. I toweled myself and came outside the shower; I entered my walk-in-closet where my new clothes were. I fished out a Black t-shirt with a skull on it, Blue pants and a black leather jacket. All my clothes were nicely fitting my almost fit body, I said fit right? Because a year ago I had started jogging and went to gym 3 to 4 days a week, this information was never disclosed to anyone not even Katie or my family except my brother.

These clothes had fitted me well so without wasting any time I went out to the kitchen and cooked me some eggs and ate them hurriedly, Checking the time that it’s still 7:15 I enter the house garage and cleaned up my car so that it was suitable for a girl to ride in, Checking the time being 7:35 I opened the garage and got in my car. Putting the gear in reverse I went towards the road and started steadily pushing the speed limit higher, at a steady pace I reached Katie’s house in 6 minutes making the time still 7:41. I honked the car horn standing outside my car looking in the direction of the door from where Katie would come out from.

“Ron, Stop that!” Katie shouting coming outside her front door. I forgot that my hand was still on the car horn; quickly stopping the annoying voice of the horn I came towards the other side of the car to open the door for her.

“Ohhhh, I didn’t know someone had manners of how to treat a fine lady” She said in a horrible fake English accent.

“My lady, if someone had observed harder they might have” I said but didn’t let her say and continued “So, how do I look?” I asked.

“You look good. I didn’t know you had a nice body, why did you hide all these muscles from us?” Katie asked and curiosity evident in her eyes.

“I seriously don’t know what you’re talking about” I smirked at her.

“Oi, Tell me!!” She shouted in my ear. I cringed but now I think she would kill me if I keep the secret of my secret a secret to her.( Hahahaha I seriously wanted to do that! :P )

“Ok, Ok I am telling. It was because of my so-called friends and Evangeline. They kept telling me I am fat and had nothing to be compared to. So after I started jogging and going to gym I kept all of this a secret so that they have no way to torment me more than they do” I said.

“Oh” She said in a whisper.

“But, you don’t have to worry about me, I am a brand new version of myself and I am going to become the Bad Boy of our school and you” pointing towards her I say “are going to help me”

“Whaaaaat? A bad boy? What about your plans of receiving a scholarship this year?” she said.

“That plan didn’t change and I will continue my studies as it is but would be more into… other activities” I smirked at her.

I pulled into the parking lot of our school, I parked at the end of the parking lot, and I got out of the car and closed my door. Running towards Katie’s door before she could open the door herself I opened it for her.

“Thanks Ron” She said.

“The pleasures all mine” I said.

As we entered the school ground, People were staring at us and whispering things like

“Who’s he?”

“I haven’t seen him around”

Or “He’s hot; it’s a pity the girl besides him got him first”
