Guys, I had changed a little part from the previous chapter. About how uniforms were mandatory to wear in the High school but… Changed it and now the students don’t have a uniform to wear they can wear their regular clothes.

Ron’s POV:

After our little conversation during lunch, we-Katie and me- Ditched school to go to nearby shopping centre.

*Flash-Back*

“Katie, Can you help me with something” I asked.

Her reply came “OK”.

“Katie, Will you help me with changing my style?. I want to change everything about me so that, People would notice me as the person I am not the person I look like with this sh*tty uniform” The little sincere speech came out without any stutter or doubt in my tone.

There was a glint of something in her eyes that shimmered for a second but disappeared as soon as I could put a finger on what that was.

She replied with determination in her voice “Sure. I think you do love that girl Alexis Murphy(This is the full-name of Alex) that you want to change everything for her attention” She took in a long breath “But I will help you.”

“Thanks” I replied.

“What are friends for? Let’s go!”

“Right now?” I gulped.

She clicked her tongue and spoke “Don’t be a Mama’s boy. We need to start shopping right now, So let’s go. Good thing you brought your car” She replied.

*Present*

We have roaming around the shopping Centre for about 5 hours, my brother John had called once and asked me where was I and my answer was simple at the mall with a friend and his answer was come before 7 P.M.

“Let’s go home, we have been roaming around this side for about 2 hours and the other 3 hours that we were here were spent on the other side” I spoke up.

“Don’t whine, just some more clothes for you than we need a haircut for you”

“Nobody told me about a haircut. About the clothes we have bought 10 bags full of them!!!!” I was tired now.

“Bu—Ok, Let’s go to the Hair Saloon”

“Thank God” I replied feeling well with me having a place to put my behind and rest for a while.

We reached the hair salon and she just ushered me towards an empty seat, she just sat and read some magazines while sending out advice's to the hair cutter of how to cut my hair. When the hair was done she didn’t let me see them right now. She made me have a facial when I was done.. I was astonished when I saw myself in the mirror, who was this guy? My hairs were spiked from angle going like wave throughout my head. Turning around I saw Katie with the same look that she had during the conversation at school.

I hugged her and said “Thanks A lot, I can’t even generate words for how to thank you”

“That’s OK, Just remember me when you become popular and all” She replied and Humor evident in her tone.

“Never would I forget the only best friend I have”

“Now let’s go home.”

When we got in the car, I started driving towards her house. I knew her house as I had been called there many times for dinner and gatherings.

“Just drop me off near the alley-way near my house, I could always walk from there” She said Matter-Of-Factly.

“No, I am going to drop you at your house and you won’t argue with me.” I replied stubbornly. I continued “Wait, How you go to and fro school?” I asked.

“I simply walk” She replied.

“And why?” I asked.

“Because.. My mother is kind of tired in the morning because of the night shift at the hospital, my father would have to go to his office from a long route if he dropped me at school and my brother is abroad for studies. So I walk” She smiled at me.

“OK…” I replied thinking, I had an idea.. “Look what if I take it as a duty of your pick and drop to and fro school. Hmm?”

She stared at me “No, I can’t force myself on you. I am good with walking... And doesn’t your mom against you driving to school?” She asked.

“You are not forcing yourself on me. But I will do as I plan. So tomorrow I will pick you up around 7:30 A.M. ok? And worry about my mom I can handle her” I smirked at her.

“Bu-“Before she completes her sentence I sent her a disapproving look “Ok” She accepted defeat.

I stopped in front of her house “Don’t worry, my route is like this as my house is just down the block so just Chill pill” I said to her.

“OK” She smiles at me “Bye. Tomorrow 7:30 don’t be late” She says.

“Bye, and don’t worry” I pulled away from her house towards my own house.

I entered my house to see my mom and dad standing there with a angry glare, they point towards the clock which was indicating the time being past 7. My dad was the first to break the silence “Where were you?”

I replied “At the mall with a friend had to do some shopping” Waving the bags that I held, I continued “And mom, I will taking my car to school from tomorrow onwards, Katie my friend needs a ride as her mother is tired in the morning due to her night shift and her father being not able to comply with the route” I knew I had already won the conversation, There was no way they could deny my reasons.

“OK, But no hanky-panky in the car” My mother smiled at me while my dad laughed at me seeing me go beat-red.

“Now, come on the dinner is getting cold” My mother continued.

“Ok” I replied.

We all had a nice and relaxing dinner there was this comfortable silence among us throughout the dinner. After the dinner I excused myself to wash my plate and went off to bed for a well-deserved good night’s rest.

As I plopped myself on the bed I promised myself this that there would be a new me and I would change myself for everything the people did to me and for Katie and her hard work on me.
