I am a mixed girl. Strange to the human eye... I have wonderful tan skin and deep chocolate eyes. I'm an chocolate and vanilla ice cream swirl to the eyes. I'm praised for my beauty, with my perfect imperfections.
I am a mixed girl. Who can never just be black or white. On one side I'm too dark, the other, too light.
I am a mixed girl. Who gets stares from behind. I walk with passion, sometimes with pride. Sometimes I want to look human, not an alien in disguise.
Why can't I just be human? We're all the same right?
I am a mixed girl. That only asks for once chance the be looked at as an equal. A chance to be me for me and not for my ancestors who dreamed me to be free.
"Can I touch your hair?" Why do you need to touch it? We all have hair. I won't let you touch it and you can't get mad when I say it. My hair isn't something you haven't seen. You just want an excuse to mess it up or an excuse to call me different
I am a mixed girl. Who just wants to be human. Considered the same whether my color or my hair. I'm sorry I wasn't born a caucasian man who's superior. I'll take that in mind for my next life.
I am a mixed girl. I stand tall for my pride and my beauty, my intelligence and athleticism, my ability to read and write on a piece of paper at free will.
I am a mixed girl. Strange to the human eyes. I have wonderful tan skin and deep chocolate eyes.
I am a mixed girl. Who is like everyone else. Who has wish to be seen as only that.
