"Are you out of your mind? You can get yourself killed?" Benjamín fumed as he looked at the girl in front of him.

News spread throughout the plazas that Amaya was no longer working with Miguel Ángel. Nobody knew exactly what happened, all they knew was that there was an argument which led to Amaya leaving the federation. The only people who knew exactly what happened other than Miguel Ángel and Amaya was Amado and of course—now, Benjamín.

"Unlike you, I'm not scared of him." Amaya crossed her arm, staring back at him. She didn't like Benjamín talking to her as if she were a child.

"I'm not scared of him." Benjamín snapped. "There's a difference. I'm not scared of him but I respect him as a leader."

Amaya scoffed, laughing a little. "Respect? He doesn't even respect you guys. You guys bust your ass and help him ship out his cocaine and what does he do in return? Nothing. Benjamín, he doesn't even consider you guys as partners. You guys are nothing to him but a bunch of employees."

"Either way you crossed the line by arguing with him. Do you even know what he's capable of?"

"I don't care. In this life you need to show people you're not going to bow down to them. I'll never bow down to him."

"Amaya, you need to pick and choose your battles. You and everyone around you can be in danger. Miguel Ángel isn't the type to let things slide." Benjamín tried reasoning to her. He didn't want him or his family to be in danger because of Amaya. He understood her reasoning but she was putting herself in a dangerous situation. Anyone and everyone around her can be in danger.

"But Benjamín, she did something you have never done." Enedina chimed in. She was proud of Amaya for sticking up for herself and not letting Miguel Ángel's power and influences stop her from doing so. "I've told you a million times to put your foot down and you haven't done shit."

"I know what I did and I don't regret it. Miguel Ángel isn't your friend or your partner, he's using you for his benefits and you're letting him. Not just you but all the plazas. I wasn't going to let him tarnish my name, especially to the Cali cartel." Amaya expressed, looking between Enedina and Benjamín. "As selfish as it may sound, I'll save myself before I save someone who doesn't value the work that I do and maybe you should start thinking that way too."

"I don't have time for this. Ruth's birthday party is starting soon." Benjamín sighed as he stood him up from his chair. Walking towards the door but stopped turning towards Amaya. "Just think about what I said. In this moment forward, you're now a traitor and an enemy in his eyes."

Benjamín walked out of his office, leaving Enedina and Amaya. Amaya looked down on her hands thinking about the events that have occurred over the last 24 hours. She knew what was going to happen once she had confronted Miguel Ángel but reality hit her like a truck. Benjamín was right, she was his enemy and he wasn't going to cross his arms and get disrespected.
