The sun shone brightly as Amaya watched the view through the window. The car drove down the street. She could see vendors, people passing by, trying to get to their next destination just like she was. She glanced to her left watching her husband drive, focused on getting to their destination on time.
"You know." Amaya voiced looking at his side profile. "We wouldn't be late if you didn't spend all your time looking for that damn coat."
Leave it too Ramón to wait until the very last minute to find his fur coat. Amaya was very adamant on Ramón leaving his coat at home. There was absolutely no reason for him to leave with it on, especially with the weather in Tijuana. But Ramón wasn't giving up. Even though it was his sister's wedding, he had to show off just a little.
Ramón glanced at Amaya for a few seconds before looking back on the road. "If you would have helped me we would have found it quicker."
Amaya scoffed. "I had to make sure the kids were good before we left."
While Ramón was too busy finding his fur coat, Amaya was prepping the kids to take to her mother's house. Catherine practically forced the couple to bring the kids to her so that she could babysit them. She didn't want her grandbabies to be cared for by a random stranger.
"Besides, you looked fine with just your suit."
"And now I look even better with my fur coat. You know you should have brought yours as well."
"And by sweaty throughout the day? No thank you. I look fine without it."
"You look sexy no matter what you wear. You know, if you want another kid, I can make that happen." Ramón looked at Amaya up and down.
Amaya looked at him and laughed. "I'm done having kids."
After just a few years of giving birth to Manuel. Amaya had given birth to a baby girl. After Manuel, Amaya wanted to wait a while before having another child. She wanted to wait until they were situated in their own home.
After everything that had happened, things progressed a lot within the Arellano family. The business was booming and they were one of the top cartels in Mexico. So when business was booming, Ramón was able to finish their house on time and was ready to start a life with his wife away from his big family.
In just a couple of months after they moved in, Valentina was brought into this world. Amaya always wanted her little pair and she got exactly what she wanted. Plus, Valentina definitely softened Ramón just a tiny bit.
"You say that now but we'll see in a couple of years."
The car came to a complete stop, letting Amaya know they arrived at their destination. Ramón helped Amaya out of the car, walking towards the entrance of the church.
