Luz's POV

I was awoken by the sound of my alarm clock, a groaned escaped my mouth as I raised my head causing some few of the pile papers on my head that to my guess must have fall dropped to the ground and I sat up straight as I stretched my arms up and my back too filling myself stiff.

I rubbed my eyes and got up as I went to the table beside my bed and looked at the time, right. Today is my first day at Hexide . It has been 3 days pass since Eda talked to me about her enrolling me and Vee to Hexide, I was excited but also anxious.

I never really had any experience socializing with teens my age but they could probably into things just like me, you know like tools and and building stuff. Combining tech with magic and also books and knowledge.

Right?

I hope so cause if not I would likely be swallow by the ground now cause I don't wanna embarrassed myself especially not in my first day.

Anyways I grabbed my towel and that uniform provided by the school and a boxer too and headed upstairs to begin to ready myself for the day. I took a quick shower basically I don't wanna smell bad tho I mostly would avoid as I can on taking shower or bath mainly because of the scars on my body. After that was done I dried myself up and brushed my teeth and comb my hair having it tame, I put on the uniform and it was a bit big on my the sleeves went past my wrist and heels. I put on a white converse which Eda found while rummaging through trash slug the other day and gave it to me which surprisingly fit.

After that I fixed my prosthetic arm giving it a few adjustments and also oiling it so I won't have a problem later. My palisman Blackjack flew on my shoulder chirping at me which made me chuckle."sorry buddy but you can't come but I guess when I asked Principal Bump permission you could."I smiled when Blackjack replied with another happy chirper."I love you too."

Once I was done with fixing my prosthetic arm I got up and exited the basement again and went to the kitchen with Blackjack following after. Blackjack is a raven with combination of black and blue feathers, I found him with one of my encounter with Darius back then when we thought he was side with Belos but luckily he made it clear that he was in our side and helped us overthrow that bastard for good.

But not dwelling with that, I was greeted with a still sleepy Vee must be up all night, excited about the fact that she is now going to a real school. Vee is my completely opposite even tho we almost looked like twins, the only could tell us apart is the blue strand on her hair, the ears and the white spots on her face and the eye color. Vee is two years younger than me, I met her around the time she was escaping Belos and after finding out she was a basilisk I immediately knew her used but that all changed when Vee begin to grow on me, like a little sister I never had which same goes for Hunter, they both can be pretty annoying but at least we get along fine now.

"Morning Vee, you stayed up late did you."I said sitting beside her as I waited for my breakfast."maybe but I should be the one asking that cause look!"Vee immediately spring back to life as she pointed towards my eye bugs which I am aware."did you even sleep well last night? You weren't having nightmares do you?"Vee looked at me worriedly, there was no pity but just pure care and worried look is what all could see in her eyes.

To answer her questions, I didn't actually had any good sleep for the past couple of days now and I'm starting to have the same illusions of my father again kinda keep hearing his voice ring in my ears and in my head too but I shook my head as I let out a sighed."no, Im Vee really I just had to finished a few of my work you know."I said as I pointed towards my arm that I am literally planning on changing since I've been finding out more glyph combos that yes I combine with my prosthetic arm so that I won't have to bothered of drawing them when I could just have them program on my robotic prosthetic arm.

"Yeah I can see."Vee replied and I sighed as Eda placed our breakfast on in front of us."alright finished up your food now, after that I'll fly you two to Hexide."Eda said and Hunter soon joined us."why? Luz already has a palisman can't she used Blackjack to fly her way to school?"Vee looked at me and I looked back at her."apparently some of the students there hadn't have palisman yet and I would probably need to ask Principal Bump for permission to brought my along."I said as i rubbed Blackjack' head which the bird scoot over towards my touch.

"You know Blackjack is almost close to Flapjack, you sure they aren't brothers."Vee said and I couldn't help but laughed at that, which also surprised me just like them and my face quickly turned immediate red.

"Aw! Owlet laughed!"Vee said calling my by that nickname again, the reason Vee called me that was because of the one time I wore Golden Guard uniform to infiltrate the castle long ago and yeah the mask does looked like an owl but I am glad they removed the Golden at the Owlet cause that is basically embarrassing.

Anyways after we finished our breakfast Eda flew me and Vee to Hexide and I just wish that nothing would go wrong at least just this day, or any following day after. I don't wanna deal with a sudden panicked attack or memory flash.
