(A/N: This is a long chapter, by the way. I couldn't help myself.)

Steve and I prodded down to the basement of the Wheeler house where we found the kids. "Any of you know how to fix cars?" Their heads shot up, all shaking them. "Fuck..."
I took a seat on the floor with them, picking up one of the cards on the board. Dustin snatched it from my hand before I could read it. "That isn't for you, Bex."
I rolled my eyes. "My bad."
"What're you doing here?" He questioned. "What? Am I intruding on your geek squad?" I pushed the board and game pieces off the table with my boot. "You're such a bully," Lucas complained. "And yet you all love me so dearly."

"Since we're on the topic, do you mind if we came over and watch ghostbusters? You've got the biggest TV out of everyone I know," He grinned. "Sure, whatever."
"Hey, no!" Steve interjected. "I'm supposed to be taking you all home. Your parents would kill me if I didn't show up with you."
"Chill, Steve," I countered. "You guys call your parents to make sure it's okay." Everyone but the red-head got up and ran for the phone. I gestured for steve to leave too.
"What's your name?" I asked.

"Max," She spoke quietly. "You know my brother." Hm. "I know a lot of people, kid."
"Curly blonde hair, California... Ring any bells or am I talking to a brick wall here?" I couldn't help but chuckle. "I saw you the other day... With Neil, I mean -- Billy's dad. You guys looked really cool."
I shrugged. "He's an asshole, devait le remettre à sa place."

She perched up at the language change. "You speak french?" Her eyes were beaming with a new light. "Yep," I spoke, popping the p. "English, Spanish, French, a little bit of Italian, and some Russian."
"Think you could teach me?" She asked. "Which one?"
"French?"

We turned our heads towards the several footsteps coming back down. "They said we could spend the night since it's late, if you don't mind. We still have clothes there, right?" Mike asked. I nodded. "As long as Cassidy didn't shrink them in the wash again."
They all whispered amongst each other, excitement coursing through them. I turned back to Max. "How about you tag along with us and I give you your first lesson?" I suggested. "Don't you wanna watch the movie?" She asked. "I've seen a thousand times."

I draped my arm around her shoulder as we all piled into Steve's car and headed back to my place. All the lights were on in the house which meant the boys were up. When we got in, they instantly yelled for me to come into the kitchen. "Hey, you guys already know where everything is. Get changed and then you can watch the movie." They all groaned before heading down the steps to the basement. Max looked at me with confusion.

"Just follow them down, they'll show you where everything's at." I turned to Steve. "Grab her some clothes for me?" I asked. He nodded, heading up the steps with Max hesitantly trailing behind him. I headed into the kitchen, placing my keys on the hook. The boys stood around someone. Pushing through them, Billy sat there with new battle wounds written on his face. "We didn't really know how... You know."

I sighed. Ashton handed me the first aid kit and I got to work. The wet cotton ball made Billy hiss, leaning his head back to get away from it. "Stop being a little bitch." By now, the boys were in the living room with the kids watching the movie.
Billy's hands were firmly on my waist, keeping me from toppling over. "You stop being a bitch and make my face pretty again, heard you work wonders on the wounded."
