"Mia! Mia are you awake hunny?" Jim knocked on the door rapidly, "Mia, you need to come with me ok? get up!"
"Jesus dad, what the hell is going on!" She yawned opening the door as she struggled to put a shoe on,
"We need to go, I don't want to leave you here on your own, come on"
Mia furrowed her eyebrows and looked at the clock quickly as they ran out of the house "Its 10 pm, how was i asleep!" she groaned locking the door and running into her dads car, watching him has he turned his blue lights on and sped down the roads to the quarry. once there the place was swarming with cops, paramedics everything, and behind a ambulance she caught a glimpse of four kids, just watching.
Jim ran out of the car, his daughter following,
"Oh god. Please tell me its not the kid"
a paramedic flipped the body over, and Mia was sure she recognised his hair, his red down vest, she recognised... Will. She brought her hands to her face, hiding her tears as she leant onto her dads side.
"Go- go to the car Honey.. ok... go to the car" He sniffled, pushing her away from him, she nodded and walked up towards the car, seeing a couple heads bob from the side of the ambulance again, but this time she went to investigate.
"Oh shit guys! what the hell are you doing here, and who the hell is she!" She threw her hands up, defeated, these stupid kids were constantly getting themselves caught it stupid situations.
"It's not will is it? it- it cant be" Mike cried, looking up at the girl, before she got a chance to answer Lucas spoke up,
"It's will. It's really will"
They all looked distraught as they gathered back up behind the ambulance,
"Mike.." the strange girl placed her hand on his shoulder, only he hit it off, harshly,
" 'Mike'? 'mike,' what? You were supposed to help us find him alive. you said he was alive! why did you lie to us? what's wrong with you? what is wrong with you?"
the girl hand tears brimming her eyes as he yelled at her, and all she muttered again was "Mike..."
"what?" He shook his head and stormed towards his bike,
"Mike what the hell?!" Mia sighed, "where are you going?"
"Mike, come on. Don't do this, man" Lucas cried "Mike..."
"Mike, where are you going? Mike!" Dustin yelled
"Mike!"
and just like that he was gone, he was pedalling away, hopefully home,
"Are either of you going to explain to me what the fuck is going on?" Mia finally asked as Dustin slammed his body against hers, hugging her tight. "Lucas?"
"I cant tell you... you'll tell your dad" he sniffled,
"No I wont, I don't tell him anything. At least introduce me to your lady friend huh?"
He nodded "This is Eleven, we found her the night Will went missing,"
"She has superpowers" Dustin whispered from her side,
Lucas rolled his eyes " she's been living in Mike basement since we found her. We think she escaped from Hawkins lab"
"Your hiding her from people who have military access?" She asked,
"She can't just go back!" Dustin exclaimed with his arms still tightly clung around her middle,
"Why not?"
