"Teasing"

Chapter 2

Meliodas pov

20 minutes passed since Elizabeth left and I'm rather worried, I know she's probably fine, but still she shouldn't go in the rain. I also feel sick, I think it's from blood loss but I don't know.

What if Elizabeth got hurt on her way home? I could never forgive myself if something happens to her. I'll just go check, it wouldn't hurt to check anyways right? Plus then I can use that as an opportunity to ask what I did wrong.

"Hey, I'm going for a walk" I called out to the sins, they hummed in response.

I've been looking for her for an hour.

This is really cold...... Was it wise of me to come out here when I'm already suffering from blood loss? No! I have to make sure Elizabeth is okay.

I see her!

I spotted her sitting under a tree down near the creak, she looks sad. I frowned at the thought.

"Eliza-! Uck! uck!-" I coughed midway through calling her name, she still heard me though, and turned to me with a surprised look on her face.

"Sir Meliodas?" She responded softly,

"I was looking for you, you shouldn't be out here in the ra- uck! Uck!-" I started coughing all over again.

"Sir Meliodas! Are you alright?" She asked as I leaned over and held onto my knees to stabilize myself. I felt drained and exhausted.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Let's get you back to the tavern. You'll get sick if your out here in the rain" I said softly,

"Okay" her response came softly,

We were almost back at the tavern when I collapsed.

I woke to the sound of someone talking to merlin.

Wait Merlin? Why is she here? Last thing I remember is going out to look for Elizabeth, I found her and then..... Well now I know why Merlin is here.

"Is he going to be okay?" I heard someone ask,

"Yes, but he shouldn't have been out there. He strained his body too much too soon after the fight without being healed and now he's sick" Merlin said calmly,

"Do you think if I healed him it'd fix it?" A voice I now recognized as Elizabeth asked,

"No, Sorry. but as you can see, his body needs a week or two to heal from this" Merlin said smoothly,

"Okay, I'll take care of him. It's the least I can do since its my fault he's sick" Elizabeth said sincerely,

"Very well lady Elizabeth, I'll give you the medicine to take care of him and leave you to it" Merlin said softly,

"Thank yo-" the rest of what Elizabeth was saying got cut off as I dozed back off.

I woke feeling horrible, my throat hurt, my nose felt runny, I felt hungry and nauseas at the same time and worst of all, I felt fucking lonely.

I don't want to be up here all by myself.

I felt giddy at the sound of the door opening. I saw Elizabeth carrying stuff in, when she saw I was awake her eyes widened and she rushed right to my side.

"Sir Meliodas! How are you feeling?" Elizabeth asked concerned,

"Oh..... Well to be honest a little shitty, but I'll manage. But what about you? You were also out In that rain, your not sick too right?" I asked softly,

"No, I'm not sick........ I'm so sorry this is all my fault, if I had just healed you, you wouldn't be sick right now" Elizabeth cried out,

"Hey, it's fine. And I do believe I'm the one who gets to say it's their fault. After all I'm the reason you decided to not heal me, and I'm the reason you went out in that storm. So hey, I guess karma bit me in the ass" I chuckled only to break out into coughs and sneezes that made my head throb and chest ache.

" Here, lady Merlin said this should help" Elizabeth said holding a spoonful of something yellow for me.

I went to take it but she stopped me.

"L-lady Merlin said you can't give this to yourself, that someone else has to give it to you" Elizabeth spoke sincerely,

I felt a little embarrassed about having to be spoon fed, but at least it's Elizabeth and not ban who would probably tease me about being sick.

I leaned forward to eat it but Elizabeth put it in my mouth at record speeds. And I understood immediately why.

It was the worst thing I've ever tasted! It tasted like honey flavored dog shit!

I swallowed it quick to get rid of the taste..... But the flavor was stained on my tongue.

Elizabeth handed me some chocolate saying it would help get rid of the bad taste, I ate it gratefully.

"Thanks Elizabeth, I know you probably have better things to do then to take care of me..... But here you are..... Thank you" I said sincerely,

"Its fine, really, I'm just glad to be able to help" Elizabeth spoke softly,

"Hey... Umm... Elizabeth? I'm sorry for upsetting you earlier. I didn't mean to, I was just trying to lighten the mood" I said reaching out and grabbing her hand, she blushed furiously.

"S-sir meliodas...... Thank you" she said with a small smile,

I just grinned at the fact that she didn't remove my hand from hers.

"N-now.... You need to take these twice a day she said they will help with any nausea or fatigue....." Elizabeth mumbled with a blush,

It was some pills. I grinned and took one of each and downed it in one go. But she had another bottle of what looked like more medicine.

"And that one?" I asked curiously,

She blushed darker.

"Umm... It's a balm...."
