3rd POV

A little girl, gasping for air as she woke up, her eyes darted everywhere trying to see anything familiar that could give her an idea where she currently is but to no avail she was in an unfamiliar place.

She was sitting in a soft bed and the room was dark but papers were scattered on the carpeted floor. She looked down at her hands seeing it was smaller was covered in bandages, she was confused as she winced feeling pain in his abdomen and chest part. She tried to remember what happened before she woke up in here.

She felt a  headache coming before every memory flashed through her mind. "Gods, I died." She could only mumbled to herself as tears starts to fall from her eyes. 'But how come I'm here? and a child?' She questioned internally.

She was a person of science, she think things through logic and as of now her mind still couldn't comprehend that she had just got reincarnated. A loud sound downstairs brought her out of her thoughts, followed by shouting and a child crying.

She bolted out of the room grimacing feeling a searing pain in her body and ran downstairs limping just to be surprised by a mess. A man who was intoxicated was shouting bloody murder at the woman who was on the floor black and blue while protecting what it looks like a year-old infant in her arms. "I saw you talking to that man a couple of times, bitch. I know you cheating on me you whore." The man shouted as he threw another glass into the wall almost hitting the woman in the head. 

"Just tell me you've been sleeping around, slut." He slurred and was about to hit the woman again, but Alric's body moved subconsciously as she grabbed the nearest thing her hand could, which was a vase, before slamming it to the man's head making him unconscious for a moment.

"Lilith" the woman quaver, tears in her bruised eyes before trying to approach her with all her remaining strength. "Sweetheart, go to the Gilbert's house. Go take Harley with you, okay? whatever happens don't comeback here. Whatever you hear, don't look back." The woman said before handing her the baby and ushering them toward the front door. "But... we have to get out of here. He would kill you." She felt tears in her eyes without her permission, 'what a crybaby' she thought to herself. She got to have a second chance to live and have parents but it just had to be like this. What kind of bullshit does Fate plan to make her life more miserable. 

The woman looked back at her husband, "I'm sorry baby, I- I need you out of here, please baby for mommy?" She pleaded tears in her eyes as she caressed Lilith's cheeks trying to wipe the tears falling from her sweet daughter. "I love you so much, you know that right?" she asked as she kissed her daughter's cheeks who could only nod. "Tell Harley I love him too, ok hun?" She said again before kissing the baby in the little girl's arms, Lilith was about to protest but both mother and daughter heard a groan. "Mom, no!" Lilith wailed as she was pushed out of the door, "Run, Don't look back." the older woman said before closing the door, Lilith heard rustles and cabinets being opened. 

She starts to walk backwards towards the road her brother in her arms trying to keep him warm, skimming through her mind to remember where Gilbert's house is. She turned around as her feet start to walk faster before they became full sprint toward the direction her mind was telling her to go. Once she climb towards the porch she could only frantically knock on the door as the baby in her arms continued to cry, she tries to soothe him but she was also a crying mess.
