3rd POV

Knowing that Harley was safe at the Gilberts, Lilith went straight to her workshop. Walking at the corner of the room revealing two tube-like chambers, a cryo-freeze chamber she had built years ago.

The party ended peacefully, there was no attack nor was Damon lingering around Caroline which gave Lilith a breather. She wasn't sure if the raven-haired vampire was in the motion of opening the tomb but she has to speed-run everything, so she went to the fell church. The timeline was already fucked up, what's there to do but to fuck it up more.

Standing in front of the entrance of the tomb, she could visibly see the seal. She started to will and imagine herself absorbing the magic that holds up the seal and once she opened her eyes it was gone slightly, a groaning sound escaped her lips from doing it feeling like she's about to burst from absorbing all the magic, upon entering she heard painful groans from the desiccating vampires. She looked around for Pearl and Harper, her main objective was to put them in the cryo-chamber until Anna comes and get her mother. When she found them she apparated them straight inside the chamber who already looked healthy since she replenished their bodies, why did she do that? to make both vampires sleep without feeling the pain of their desiccating bodies of course. Once she made sure they were gone, she let the accumulated magic in her burst with a painful yelp making the remaining vampires in the tomb get caught in the blue blaze turning them into ashes she slightly stagger on her feet using her left hand to leaning on the wall to support her body. Just like before, a small amount of blood drip down her nose that she gracefully wiped.

She fell asleep that night hugging her brother with a lighter feeling, her talk with Stefan lifted something off of her shoulder and one less problem was solved.

Things could not be told the same in the boarding house that night, Stefan got home with his brother sitting in a single seat with bourbon in his hands. Thankfully Zach was not in the boarding house, knowing that he would nag him about Damon being here. "Damon," he breathlessly called out.

"Hello, brother," Damon gave him his signature smirk. "I'm guessing you've been here for a while," Stefan said as a statement and not an accusation as he steer towards the bar pouring himself some glass of alcoholic drink, he needed a drink from all the things he found out tonight.

Damon smiled sardonically, "I couldn't miss your first day of school. Your hair's different, I like it. Much better than that grunge look from the nineties. It really didn't suit you," Stefan down the glass before slamming it down. "Why are you, really here?" Stefan asked, it wasn't normal for his brother to show up like this. He would leave dead bodies around before announcing his arrival, everything was peaceful even now that he's in Mystic Falls.

"You know at first I thought you were here for that plain lookalike, thinking that you still haven't moved on from Katherine," Before Damon could continue he was interrupted by Stefan. "Elena isn't anything like Katherine." Damon scoffed, " of course, they aren't, even if she's plain at least this new lookalike had more personality in her. The manipulative bitch is kind of tiring anyway." 

Both brothers stare at each other, "I guess you finally realized that it wasn't worth it to come here for her but then you met Lilith. How does it feel to be near her, brother? Does being around her make you feel alive? feel like a human again?" Damon asked, taunting him but with everything that happened at the party, Stefan had a realization. Just like how Lilith kept protecting her siblings (he thinks Jeremy and Elena is Lilith's siblings too in everything but blood) it was the same with him and Damon, and he had never even thanked him for that but turned him into a vampire against his will just because he was scared to be alone.
