Thank you so much for the 2.9k reads! I honestly didn't expect my story to get so many views. Again, I'm so sorry for not updating sooner, I was very busy. But yay, it's finally out!
Adrien sighed again as he tried to come up with a hang-out idea for him and Marinette. What if he messed it all up?
He shook his head and thought back to Marinette before she had left for London. He couldn't believe he hadn't noticed her. It was so obvious now, that she had liked him!
He had been such a jerk. He really had to tell her how he felt and apologize. He thought back to all of those times Plagg had rolled his eyes at Adrien and facepalmed whenever he mentioned interaction with Marinette. He sighed. He got it now, he was a stupid and very blind person. He... liked her too.
He suddenly realized something. Marinette was now a famous and popular model, there was a pretty good chance she was already taken.
Oh well. They could still be friends anyway. That's what mattered. But whatever. He had to hang out with her again. So he summoned up his courage and sent her a text.
Adrien: Hey, if you're not busy, do you want to go get something from the new bakery? It's not as good as yours, but it looks pretty cool and I've been wanting to check it out for a while. Wanna come?
Marinette: Sure, what time?
Adrien: Is 2 p.m good for you?
Marinette: That's fine. See you there!

Marinette put down her phone, smiling slightly. She was going to hang out with Adrien! Maybe it wasn't exactly a date, but it was a start. She turned to her closet, picking out a casual outfit. A white tank top crop with some brown/beige jeans. She chose one of her necklaces and put on some white, stylish shoes.
Then she left the house, got into her car, and drove to the restaurant.
When she got there, Adrien was already there, waiting for her. Marinette paused to look at the restaurant, which was beautifully designed.
He waved at her from the table he was sitting at, and she came over to join him.
"So, how are you?" asked Marinette, fidgeting slightly. Adrien smiled at her, slightly nervous. "I'm fine. So, what do you want to order? I hear they have really good strawberry milkshake cupcakes"
Marinette looks at the menu, debating her options. Everything at the shop was so aesthetic and beautifully made. She loved it!
"I think I'll order the cotton candy cupcakes, and you can order the strawberry milkshake ones. We can share!"
Adrien nodded and placed the order. Once the cupcakes came, they were literally drooling over them since they looked so yummy.

They caught up on what had happened, telling each other funny stories from the past year while eating the delicious cupcakes.
"Hmm, you know something funny?" said Marinette, thinking back. "Isn't Felix your cousin? We met at the modeling agency, he was my partner in making designs for a period of time, and we became friends. He was nice. He looks almost exactly like you" she laughs.
Adrien made a face, wondering what Marinette and Felix did together while they hung out. He didn't know his cousin even knew her...
Marinette then received a notification on her phone. "Oh, I have to go do something with my parents, I promised them" she smiled at Adrien. "We should do this sometime again"
Adrien tries to come up with something to say, and then blurts out: "We could go to the movies on Friday, if you have time, as a date? Or just as friends, if you want too."
Marinette smiles brightly, blushing a bit. "Sure!"
As she turns around to leave, someone waves at her, calling to her. "Marinette, over here!"
She turns around and sees a brunette girl with sausage hair and green eyes. "I'm so glad to see you again!"
She froze as the girl embraced her. Marinette forced a smile, trying to leave, remembering moments from before she had left for London. She laughed nervously in the girl's embrace.
