The two conversed, and Hitoshi bragged about the house and family he had. Izuku thought it was for him to get jealous of the things he did not have, like good parents. Though, he was jealous. He just could not admit it.

If he were to say it, it would mean all of his dad's efforts to protect and take care of him were for nothing as he wants more. Gosh, Hitoshi hurt his brain.

Izuku and Hitoshi ended up moving to the couch, side by side. It was all good until Hitoshi began twirling his fingers through his curls. "Do you know how long it is?"

Izuku shrugged, blushing a tad at Hitoshi's fingers. "I don't know. All I know, it's very long and gets all over the place."

That made Hitoshi chuckle. "Just looking around, it covers where you've been. Perhaps that's how your dad knows when you do something quite wrong."

Izuku never thought of that. Though, it made sense, his hair being a dead giveaway. "Next time, I'll make sure to gather up all my hair before changing rooms."

"Yeah...Next time." Hitoshi trailed off, scratching at his hair.

"You okay?"

"Yeah-yeah I'm fine."

Izuku didn't look convinced.

"Um anyway," Hitoshi started, "do you know what your quirk is?"

Izuku sighed with an eye roll. "I told you already, I don't know what you're talking about."

Hitoshi slapped his palm to his forehead, "oh right."

Izuku leaned a tad towards Hitoshi. "You can tell me." The closer he got to Hitoshi's face, the redder it got. He frowned, is he sick? Dad's face can get like that when he's sick. Pulling back, Izuku leaned against the couch.

Hitoshi looked flabbergasted, staring with a slack jaw. Izuku snorted, "you okay?"

"Um I-er-I-I'm good. Really good-wait no. That's not what I meant, ahh just ignore me," Hitoshi mumbled, covering his red face. Izuku shrugged, alright.

Hitoshi took a deep breath, "you want me to tell you what quirks are?"

Izuku nodded.

"Quirks are just superpowers, wait do you know superpowers are?" A nod. "Okay, good. This will make this easier to explain. Anyway, everyone, well mostly everyone, has an ability that is a quirk that gives them powers. Like me, I can.." Hitoshi faltered.

"Yeah?" Izuku prompted.

"Um you tell me yours first. You must have a quirk." Hitoshi switched the conversation like it was nothing. It hurt Izuku that he didn't want to tell him what his power was and keep it a secret. "You promise me you'll tell me yours after I say mine?"

"...Sure." Hitoshi hung his head, "I just don't want you to be scared of me."

Izuku shook his head quickly. "I would never! Well, if it has anything that could hurt me like blood or punching or something, you shouldn't worry."

Hitoshi stared before glancing away.

Izuku took it as his moment to talk about his hair. Oh boy. "My power is my hair."

"Your hair?" Hitoshi drawled out.

"Don't act so surprised! There's a reason for why I was worried you were going to steal it. My hair has healing abilities where if I sing, it will glow and heal the person the hair is wrapped around. Like if you cut your hand, I can wrap my hair around it and sing a song, it will go away."

"Huh, that's interesting."

"Please don't get any ideas! I use my hair to heal my dad whenever he gets hurt, if you steal it, I won't be able to heal him."
