Owari's Tale

K1. I Have An Eldritech Abomination For A Roommate Now?!

In the year 2024 the first dungeon opened on earth. Monsters poured out of it and destroyed cities. At the same time lucky humans awoken dormant magical abilities and gained access to the system.

20 years later....

I sat down next to Akiri as Tyler brought over the book.
"I know it's an F rank item but what if something strong does actually come out?" Tyler said.
"Cool it Ty I'm a level 12 awakened! I could handle anything that came out of that dingy book anyway." Akiri exclaimed.
Mom had found the book in an S rank dungeon raid so we found it weird that it was so low rank. Tyler handed the book to me to open.
"Since you're all goth and stuff you should open the dumb demon book." Ty said teasingly.
I opened the book and saw the large amount of words and random symbols. Akiri and Tyler looked through the book as well. The first few pages talked about some beings called Old Ones. 
"This book is weird. It even has chants in it. This is kinda worrying guys maybe it's not F rank after all." Tyler said.
I shrugged off his concerns and kept flipping through the pages until I came across a chant that looked interesting.  I got everyone's approval to say the chant before I began to chant.

After finishing the chant nothing happened.
"I'm actually pretty glad nothing happened. Let's just go play games or something." Tyler said.
I was really annoyed that the spell turned out to be a dud but  I went along with Tyler's idea. We ordered a few pizzas and we all binged some mecha anime that dad was talking about. Unfortunately I missed the genes for good metabolism so the constant nights of binge eating were catching up to me as shown by the layer of pudge covering my body. After we finished the first season of the anime we all felt a strange presence. Akiri got up and and coated her hands in light magic to prepare for combat. The mysterious presence disappeared soon after Akiri took action. Suddenly the door to my bedroom flew open and a figure covered in shadows stepped out. After it stepped into the light we saw it's true appearance. It was a kitsune with blueish silver hair that faded into purple at the tips. It had one eye covered with its hair and it's remaining eye was a void-like black. It was wearing a hoodie with stars and galaxies dotted across it.
"Which one of you summoned me?" It questioned.
Tyler immediately pointed to me. I looked at him disappointed at him for outing me right away. The kitsune jumped down from the floor above us and landed in front of me. Due to me being close to 7ft tall I towered over the small kitsune. Akiri immediately picked up the kitsune and snuggled him.
"Put me down human!" The kitsune exclaimed
"But you're so cute!" Akiri argued.
Eventually the kitsune bit Akiri's arm causing her to drop it back onto the floor.
"Oi, contwactor I demand that you introduce me to human society!" The kitsune exclaimed
"Why exactly? I mean what are you anyway?" I responded.
"I'm an old one duh! Well I'm using this kitsune form so I don't accidentawy melt your minds after you see my true form. As for the weason I want you to introduce me to human society... It's cause I've never left the Behjim before."  The kitsune responded.

After a lengthy conversation I managed to set a few rules for the kitsune who's name was apparently Owari. He was surprisingly docile after I agreed to help him with his wish.  He promptly stole my bed after we were done making our agreement.
"Oi, Owari move this is my bed." I said.
"If you want it so bad then just sleep next to me." Owari said grinning.
"You would like that wouldn't you."
"Yep!"
I grumbled and reluctantly got into bed next to Owari. He wrapped three of his 7 tails around me and pulled me closer. It didn't take long for me to fall asleep.

I woke up the next day with Owari still sleeping next to me. I managed to wiggle my way out his tails before getting ready for the day ahead of me. I put on a t-shirt and a pair of pants. Owari got up and followed me out of the room and towards the living room. Akiri had already told our parents about Owari's existence and stay here so they had made extra pancakes to accommodate our new guest.
"Contwactor, what are these fwuffy circles?" Owari questioned
It took me a few moments to collect myself after he asked what pancakes were. It took me a bit to figure out the right words to explain it to him.
"Well those fluffy circles are called pancakes. They are very delicious and you should try one." I responded while holding back a chuckle.
Owari took a bite and his face practically lit up.
"These are dewichous or howeva you say your fancy human words!" He exclaimed.
I chuckled slightly as I noticed his speech impediment.
"Isn't he the cutest thing Kate? Look at him he's so cute and adorable! I'd adopt him if I wasn't shipping you two so hard~" My mother said, "if only your siblings hadn't already left for the day to see this."
"Mooom!" I replied.
Owari quickly finished his pancakes. He stretched before immediately running to the couch.
"Contwactor, help me turn on the magical box thingy!" Owari exclaimed.
I sighed and and turned on the tv so he could watch some anime. I smiled to myself. Maybe I could finally do something fun other than lay around while my siblings go out and fight in dungeons...
