Make me Happy

Chapter 2

It finally came. The day when I had to move into the dorms. I was packing up my few things that I had and trying not to make a big deal of it. It had been a week since Castiel had broken up with me, and it still hurt to think of him. "Are you ready?" asked my mom. She stood at the door with her new husband.

He was a very nice man and as long as he made her happy, I was happy. "Yeah. Is Emma here already?" I aske dnot looking at her yet. I knew she would be crying and that would make me cry too.

"Yes darling. She is waiting outside." my mom said. I could hear the tremble in her voice. I put my suitcase down and turned to look at her. She was crying.

"Don't cry mom." I said, feeling my eyes sting too. "I'll just be away for a little while. Before you know it, the years will pass by quickly." I said. She pulled me into a hug and I couldn't help but cry along with her too.

"I'll miss you baby." she said. I nodded and pulled away as Emma honked the horn. "Well you gotta go. Have fun." she said walking me to the door. I said my farewells and went to Emma. She sat quietly, her eyes red from the crying.

"UC Davis, here we go!" she said and pressed the pedal, going way past the limit. We took turns driving and played a lot of music until we got to Davis. I was glad to be away from San Francisco. I drove until I saw the campus.

"Emma, we're here." I said shaking her awake. She mumbled something then opened her eyes. "Lets go find our dorms." I said. She sat up, rubbed her eyes, and yawned. She undid her seatbelt and then opened the door.

"Okay, let's go." she said. I got out an together we went to the front office.

"Hi, I'm Harper DiLaurentis. I was wondering if you could help me find my dorm." I smiled.

The girl started clicking away in her computer. "Your dorm is in the forth building, second floor, room B5." she said, handing me a map of the school.

"Thank you." I told her. I looked at the map and frowned in confusion. It was a boys and girls. "What room did you get?" I asked Emma.

"Building 2, floor 1, room A3." she asnwered also looking at her map. "Okay, well this is where we say goodbye. When are you gettin your truck?" she asked.

My old truck was going through some motor problems an was currently getting fixed. "I'm not sure. They said it was gonna be ready until next month." I said.

"Okay, well I'll get the stuff down from the car in like ten minutes. Meet me there so you can get your stuff too." she said. I nodded and we both left our seprate ways.

I hap to admit that I was a little lost. I can't read the freaken map at all! I got out my phone, as it kept vibrating. "Hello?" I said.

"Where are you?" I heard Emma's voice on the other line. I sighed and closed my eyes. I could feel a huge headache comming on and I didn't have anything to cure it.

"Im lost." I admitted. I heard her laugh then she tried to turn it into a cough. "I'll see you as soon as I can find my way through this campus."

"If you find your way." Emma laughed. I laughed with her and nodded.

"Youre right. I'll call you later." I said, spotting a guy comming my way. "Excuse me." I said. He stopped an looked at me. He wasn't bad looking. In fact, he was cute. He had brown curly hair, light brown eyes, a muscular body, and nice full lips.

"Yes?" he asked me. He flashed a grin and I got lost in thought. "How can I help you?" he asked a second time after I didn't answer him.

I closed my eyes and looked away from him. "Yeah, can you help me find my dorm? I'm kinda lost and I have no idea how to read this map." I said.

He chuckled and then took the map from my hand. He looked at the higlighted part and looked at me. "Well, I guess it's your lucky day. I'm headed that way right now." he said.

I smiled and thanked my lucky stars. "Thank you." I said. I followed him, taking a good look at my surroundings so I wouldn't get lost in the future.

"So what's your name?" he asked.

"Harper." I answered. He nodded and kept walking. I didn't notice he had stopped until my face came into full contact with his back. "Ow!" I cried as I hit my nose.

"Oh, I'm sorry." he said turning to look at me. "My name is Em." he said. I looked at him confused.

"Em?" I asked.

He laughed again. "Yeah, short for Emile." he explained.

"Oh, that's a cool name." I said. He nodded and then led me through some doors.

"Okay, in these dorms are the jocks and the chearleaders. It's basically an athletes dorm." he said. "You'll probably be getting hit on a lot from the guys. But just ignore them, they're jerks.

"You will be on the second floor. I hope you can find your way, and your room is on the fifth door on your right. Have fun." he said walking to a door. I took a deep breath. How the hell did I get in this dorm?

I tool a deep breath and made my way to the stairs. "Can I help you out Hun?" asked a man's voice behind me. I turned around and found some guy in a football letter jacket standing behind me.

"Oh no, I got it. Thanks though." I said. I looked back at me paper and started walking up the stairs. I followed Em's directions and found my room. I opened the door and found three beds. Two of them already had bags on them.

The only one left was by the window. I took a step forward when I saw a head pop out of what I'm guessing is the bathroom. "Hey, you must be Harper?" asked the guy. Great, I have a guy as a roommate.

"Yeah." I said taking off my sweater. I got my phone out of my pocket and dialed Emma.

"Hey did you find your room?" she asked.

"Yeah I did. I can see the parking lot from here. I'll be out in a few." I told her.

"Okay, I'm still waiting." she said. I closed my phone an turned around. The guy from downstairs scared the crap out of me. "Oh my gosh!" I said.

He laughed his head off and so did the other guy. "Sorry Hun." he said moving behind me. I sighed and walked to the door. "Hey, uh Harper?" he said. I turned to look at him. "Take the key. You'll end up looking yourself out." he said throwing me a key. I cathed it and looked at it.

"Thank you." I said before walking out.

hey sorry for not uploading the same night. My mom kicked me out of the computer and got pissed cus I hadn't done my homework. I had to do this chapter on my iPhone and it took forever.
