As you neared the door to the Potions classroom, you readied yourself and your question for Draco in your head. Once you reached the door, you collected your thoughts and entered the room. Your eye immediately went to your shared desk with Draco, seeing he was already sitting there with his Potions book out. When you sat down next to him, he looked up and smiled.

"Hey," he said.

"Hi," you replied back. You took a deep breath and continued on, "I was wondering if you were going to the Quidditch game tonight?"

He gave you a funny look and said, "No, actually. I wasn't planning on it."

"Oh." You gave him a little frown.

"Why?" He asked. "Are you?"

"Yeah. I was...Umm...Would you maybe like to go with me?"

Draco was about to respond before you blurt out, "I mean as friends of course!"

"Sure. I'll go with you." He answered. You looked at him surprised.

"Really?"

He smiles and nods.

Before you had a chance to reply, Professor Snape demanded, "Ms. Y/L/N and Mr. Malfoy. Is there something you would like to share with the class?" You hadn't even realized that class had started and your cheeks turned bright red.

"No, Professor. We were just talking about today's assignment." Draco assured with a slight smirk.

"Good. I should hope so." Snape snapped. You two spent the rest of class flitting around each other, barely talking in fear of Snape calling you out again.

When class ended, you said, "Well, I'll see you at the Quidditch Pitch then."

He gave you a small smile and answered with, "Good. I should hope so." You laughed, knowing he had purposely copied what Professor Snape had said earlier in class.

Tonight's Quidditch match was Slytherin against Gryffindor. You didn't particularly care who won, but you had gone for Slytherin colors knowing that would be the team Draco favored. You were waiting near the Slytherin stands, as you had gotten there a couple of minutes early. The stands for both teams were almost completely full, the whole student body knowing this would be a good match. You had turned back towards the entry just in time to see Draco walk through. It was a little chilly outside tonight and he had chosen to wear his Slytherin sweater, while you had opted for a long sleeve shirt.

"Hi!" You called out to him, making sure he knew it was you. "You made it!"

"Of course I did. I told you I would, didn't I?" He said as he walked over, giving you a smirk. You both walked towards the only empty seats left in the Slytherin stands, the very last row, closest to the players. You settled in just as Madame Hooch blew her whistle, signaling the game's start.

As the evening went by, Slytherin winning point by point, the air got chillier. Without even noticing, you had inched closer and closer to Draco until you were touching shoulders. But the best part was, he didn't seem to care. He was interested in the game, cheering every time Slytherin scored a point and booing every time Gryffindor did. When the Slytherin Seeker caught the Snitch, he jumped up with the rest of the Slytherin stands.

You followed his lead, and he turned to you and said, "We won!" You didn't get a chance to respond before Draco turned back to the loud crowd. He looked genuinely happy, and this was the first time you had ever seen him like that.

The crowd had already started moving towards the entry back into the castle, almost certainly headed to the Slytherin dungeons for a well-earned celebration. As you moved along next to Draco, you almost lost him more than once with the mob pushing you this way and that. Without thinking, you tucked your hand into his, hoping he would be able to lead you back inside. As soon as you did, he turned back to look at you with a shocked look on his face.

"Oh! Sorry, I wasn't thin-" You started as you tried to pull your hand out of his. To your surprise, he held on tighter and turned around continuing to push his way through the horde of students.
