Life Cycle: Wake up > Overthink > Eat > Overthink > Sleep.
Overthinking and procrastination, are the two things Kim Jisoo is genuinely good at. Being a teenager is not great, everyone says it is, but it is all a big, fat lie. And the COVID situation wasn't of much help either, getting locked up in the house and basically doing nothing.
And right now, Jisoo was thinking about everything that has happened in the past few months and just yesterday. What was he doing? Is he okay or out of his mind.
Well backtracking, when COVID broke out in 2020 everything stopped. After a year in 2021, things were back on track and thus her dad and two of his college friends decided to go on a short three days trip with their families.
Well, it was great, because every parent knew each other, but the children? No. Jisoo was literally eleven when they last met, she was now fifteen. She cannot remember what happened an hour ago and she will remember something from four years back? Impossible.
She only remembered the names, and yeah, she was pretty excited to get them to know better. Well, she did, after a few days when they went on the trip. There was a girl, two years older than her, Jung Hana, and a boy, a year older than her, Kim Seokjin.
They became great friends and caught up with every stupid stuff they did together as children and soon again became close to each other. And shared their contacts, of course, to keep in touch.
Everything was great, until the three families decided on another trip, again, not to Jeju. This time the upgrade was it was a four-day trip. And again the three friends had great time.
But, a thing happened. Jisoo talked with Seokjin a lot over chat on various topics and judged people randomly even though they didn't go to the same school. And these chats were all at two to four a.m. in the night.
Her friends used to tease her by saying romantic stuff about them but she didn't take them so seriously, until this trip. All those comments came swarming inside her mind when she watched Jin, shirtless in the pool of the hotel, swimming, as she clutched her towel in hand wearing her swimming suit.
And that is when things started going well, crazy.
They openly flirted on the pool that day, complementing each other with occasional touches and giggles while keeping a watch for their parents. And then later that evening Hana was called for about a fifteen-minute lecture about her studies to another room leaving them alone.
It was raining heavily and a loud thunderclap was heard as Jisoo flinched. Jin remarked, "You know, it was heard a lot less than it actually should be, I mean because the room is soundproof, you know."
"Why would a hotel room be sound- oh?" Jisoo exclaimed as Jin smirked lightly. Nothing happened that day, except the fact, that Jisoo's mind was everywhere right then.
Fast-forward to two months, one day Jisoo suddenly got a text of a simple 'hi' from Jin. And, obviously, she texted back. And thus he went on chatting with him almost the whole day, he was always online and just typing stuff away while she replied.
"Don't you ever sleep?' Jin joked while Jisoo replied with a, 'I am Jisoo, I am okay' sticker with her face in it.
Suddenly in the evening, Jin texted how cuddling feels. He wrote almost a paragraph saying it is so good, his friend has done it and it feels great.
And then he went on explaining how his friends did it and repeating multiple times that it felt really great. Jisoo just replied with an okay every time he said something trying to understand where this conversation was going.
He whined about how he would want to cuddle with someone and Jisoo joked replying, 'how about me?'
Wrong move, a very wrong move. Jisoo clutched her hair after sending it and tried to delete it but Jin had already seen it. Sure, he replied as Jisoo's mouth fell from her jaw and she lied saying she had tuition and quickly closed off her phone.
Later that night Jin suddenly confessed saying he likes Jisoo and Jisoo replied by saying she likes her too. Now this is where the very main problem started. She couldn't stop thinking about it the whole night and in the morning she decided it was better to not be in a relationship with Jin because it brings a lot of distractions and complications.
When she texted him saying that, Jin replied, 'we were never in a relationship though' Jisoo just told him about the chats they had last night and he replied saying it was just for the sake of cuddling. Jisoo got so confused she just decided to make it clear they were not dating and then said to him, that cuddling only happens between couples and not friends.
But who was he to listen he replied with thirteen laughing emojis and a bye.
And right now, Jisoo was in splits. She knew they would go on a trip together soon, and she didn't know what and how to talk to him.
She thought it was better to drop the topic and only talk if he brings it up.
She also informed Hana of all this who laughed her ass off at these two juniors. Just a one-year gap between Jin and Jisoo and them doing these was very funny to her.
Now Jisoo was contemplating her feelings. She liked him and she was well aware of it, but he? He didn't like her back, right? Because he just said it for the sake of cuddling, right? But cuddling doesn't happen between friends, right?
Her head was swarming with questions when she decided that instead of getting answers to all these questions she should just enjoy her free time and started watching Stray Kids's song 'Thunderous'. God that Minho boy was handsome, she thought.
Why answer questions in life when you can just ignore them?
