FLASHBACK- The day he was leaving.
31st May it was when he left the city for his dreams. To pursue higher educations in an army school. He always wanted to be at the service of mother India. He called up Teja the night before.
Karan- Teju I am leaving tomorrow.
Teju- (in low voice) All the best for life Kundriii.
Karan- Tujhe bura nhi lag rha hai ki main jaa rha hu? Won't you miss me?
Teja- Tu bta will you?
Karan- Of course I will but hopefully vahan dusri teju mil jaaye toh.......
Teja- haww Kundriii I hate you bye!
Karan- areee baba mazak kar rha tha.
Teja- Karan dekh I know I have not been the most precious person in your life which you don't wanna let go of. But I certainly know that there's something you adore about me. I don't know about my importance in your life but you are someone who is really very precious to me. I don't wanna share you with anyone.
Karan- Teju! Kya hua? You are emotional!
Teja- yeah because I don't know if we are gonna meet iske baad.
Karan- Don't worry ree I am just going for two years I will be back.
Teja- let's just hope for that (with a sigh).
Karan- aree ek important chiz jiske liye maine call kiya tha vo toh bhul hi gya🤦
Teja- what?
Karan- would you like to come to the station to like see me off?
Teja-yeah why not!
Karan- thik hai toh abhi so jaa kal 8:00 bje station pe milte hai.
Teja- Byee Kundriii
Karan- Byee Teju
While Teja laid down on her bed thoughts constantly came in her head. What if he tends to forget her in these two years? What if he gets close to someone else? She was scared! Scared of loosing the precious person in her life. she went through a rollercoaster ride of her emotions, cried, frustrated, happy,sad and what not and slept weeping. She woke up saw the clock and it was already 7:00. The station was 30 mins away from her place. She rushed to the washroom took a shower got ready and left without having the breakfast. There she was all excited, nervous, sad, sacred all at the same time. She somehow convinced her heart to say whatever she felt.
She reached the station and was just walking towards Karan when her heart broke once again. This time a little harder. It was Ananya standing there smiling with him, hugging him. She never thought she'll feel bad about this. Yeah she didn't feel bad it was the worst nightmare for her. She stood there numb not knowing what to do ahead. Just when the departure of the train was announced. She came to her senses with the sudden voice. Looked at Karan who was happily standing there, enjoying with his bunch of friends. She thought there was no point standing there and decided to walk off. Karan saw her from a distance and went behind her.
Karan- Teja! Teja! Tejasswi! Tejasswi! Heyyyy! Stop!
Teju was clearly ignoring his voice.
Just when he held her hand and pulled her.
Karan- what the hell is your problem? Why aren't you answering? Why were you leaving?
She wasn't ready to answer.
Karan- Teju! Answer me!
Teja- what! What do you want me to say! Tune hi bola n kal you will find other Teju! Then just go! Go enjoy with your crush,with your friends, leave me alone. I am used to all this. Just leave. Don't ever come back don't show me your face just leave.
Karan's grip over her hand loosened. He just couldn't accept what she said.
Karan in his mind- Did she just tell me to leave and never come back! Am I really no one?
Karan- You really want this Teju? You really want your Kundriii to never come back to you?
Fine!
The train was about to leave. He rushed back not willing to leave her side but he had to because that's what she wanted, that's what she requested him. Teja stood there sobbing. She clearly didn't knew what she said and what impact it had on him. She was just hurt.
Karan stood on the gate of the coach to bid the goodbye and to see his Teja one last time!
There she was crying and repeating "sorry kundrii"
THE PRESENT DAY
Just when she saw him it was an unusual feeling. She didn't knew how to control her emotions which were just bursting out from her eyes. Karan went ahead and met Varun.
Varun- Karan tu yahan! What a pleasant surprise! Happy birthday mere Bhai.
Karan- Thank you bro! Bss vacations the kuch dino ke liye toh socha ghum aau! Kaisa hai tu?
Varun- main ek dum mast tu bta? Koi bhabhi mili ya nhi!
Karan- nhi yrr mera dil toh sirf ek hi ke paas hai (looking at teja) vo mujhe vapis de hi nhi rahi kya karu?
Varun- ohooo sahi hai!
Teja was busy in giving gifts to the people but her ears were constantly on their talks. When she heard what Karan said she was upset. She thought he was talking about Ananya. But poor girl had no idea that it was her jisne uska dil le liya hai!!
Karan came towards her.
Karan- Teju hii!
Teja- (without paying any attention) hello Karan!
Karan- I am not Karan! I am your Kundriii.
Still she wasn't paying any attention. So he took her with him in the corner.
Karan- Teju look at me! Kya hua hai tujhe! Why are you ignoring me? Itni jaldi bhul gyi apni kundrii ko?
Teja- Happy birthday Karan, may god bless you. I am sure koi aur teju mil gyi hogi abhi tak toh.
Karan- Teju please don't! Tell me if there is something which I did and it hurt you. Tell me!
Teja- Karan it's your birthday aaj jaane dete hai will talk about this later.
She walked away leaving behind a sad Karan who was helpless. Who didn't knew what went wrong! Why his Teju was being like this.
What will Teja do next? How will she face Karan? How will she control her feelings.
