Next morning he woke up and saw multiple missed calls from Varun.
He immediately dialled his number and Varun picked it in one go.
Karan:- Varun what's wrong!!! Itne saare missed calls?
Varun:- Karan vo teja! Teja! Karan please tu jaldi aa jaa!!!
Karan:- teja kya hua usko!!! Varun vo thik hai n....Varun.....
The call got disconnected.
Karan was tensed he was praying everything to be alright.
Karan:- God, please meri Teja thik ho. Please use kuch nhi hona chahiye. Main use kuch nhi hone de skta.
Karan drove to the location Varun told him about but when he reached there he didn't found them there. He heard some people talking.
Person 1- kitna bhayanak accident tha.
Person 2- Hn. Bss Bhagwan uss ladki ko sahi salamat rakhe. Kitni chot aayi thi use.
What accident? Kaunsi ladki? His heart was racing fast. He would never think of something like that for her. By gathering all the courage that he could he went up to them and asked the whole thing.
Karan- Uncle yahan koi accident hua tha?
Person 1- Hn beta ek car thi usne ek ladki ko takkar maari aur bhaag gya.
Karan- Uncle ye kab ki baat hai?
Person 2- bss beta abhi 1-2 ghante pehle hi. Vo toh achha hua ki uss ladki ka ek dost tha jo use hospital le gya varna pta nhi vo bachhi bachti ya nhi....
1-2 ghante pehle.... that's when Varun called him.
He rushed to the city hospital and saw Varun pacing up and down in front of the OT.
He walked towards him hoping that it wasn't too serious.
Karan:- Varun.....meri Teja.
Varun:- uska accident hua hai Karan. Kaafi khoon bhi beh chuka hai. Doctors are treating her. I called you multiple times call kyu nhi uthaya tune!!!
Karan stood still not sure what to say.
Just yesterday they were the happiest people on the earth. It was yesterday when they confessed their love for each other.
Varun:- Karan..Karan..... Are you listening to me?
Karan:- Varun vo thik toh ho jaayegi n? Meri Teja ko kuch nhi hoga n? I can't live without her! I can't.....
The doctor stepped out and looked quite serious.
Karan:- Doctor how's she?
Doctor:- she is out of danger. Don't worry.
Karan:- Thank god!!!
Doctor:- But.......
Varun:- But what?
Doctor:- It seems she has lost her memory. She doesn't remember the past two years of her life.
Karan:- LOST HER MEMORY.....
Doctor:- Yes. And it's better if you don't pressurize her to remember those two years. Right now we'll have to keep her under observation. You can take her home after a week.
Varun:- Thank you doctor.
Karan was just numb. She doesn't remember anything about yesterday. The day which seemed to change both of their lives was just a faded memory for her right now. They were back to being just normal friends. They are back to hiding their emotions all over again.
Varun:- Karan just go and see her. Vo sirf 2 saal bhuli hai. Tujhe abhi bhi jaanti hai vo.
Karan:- agar usne mujhe nhi pehchani toh?
Varun:- just hope for the best. Go.
Karan went and stood beside her bed. She was there pale. Her head was clearly wounded. It was a massive accident and the fact that she survived was already a blessing for him. He stood there admiring her when she opened her eyes and saw him.
Teja:- Karan! Tu yahan? Tu toh jaane vala tha n?
Karan:- tejasswi! Tu thik hai kahin dard toh nhi ho rha hai should I call the doctor?
Teja:- Doctor? Why am I here? Kya hua hai?
Karan:- Tejasswi you met with an accident. And you have lost your memory of the last 2 years.
Teja:- I......What?
Karan:- Teja calm down! Doctor said you need to rest. Stress lene ki zarurat nhi hai. Tere parents ko bta diya hai vo aa rhe honge.
Teja:- How can I just loose the 2 years of my life? This is so crazy. I don't know what to do right now!
Karan:- Tu stress mat le dhire dhire you'll recover doctor said.
Teja:- Fine then. Tu ye bta teri studies complete ho gyi?
Karan:- yeah and now I'm ready to join the army.
Teja:- that's cool. How's Ananya?
Karan:- Ananya?
Teja:- hn teri crush. Abhi bhi hai n vo?
He was confused but then realised the Ananya story he told her 2 years back. He was sceptical whether to tell her the truth or let her be in this delusion. But then he realised what the doctor said she needs to take rest and not stress about remembering anything.
Karan:- Hn vo toh abhi bhi hai...
He was cut off by her parents entering the room in hurry.
Teja's mom:- teju! Beta tu thik hai n?
Teja's dad:- beta kya hua tujhe?
Teja:- Mom,dad calm down. I'm better now. Just lost my memory?
Teja's dad:- lost your memory? Kya mtlb?
Karan:- uncle she doesn't remember her past two years.
Teja's mom:- kya? Beta ye sab kaise?
Teja:- mumma Karan bta rha tha ki doctor said I'll recover soon. Don't worry!
Karan:- ji aunty she'll soon remember. Lekin tab tak koi unnecessary stress nhi hona chahiye ise.
Teja's dad:- beta aap ho kaun?
Teja:- Papa ye Karan hai mera dost. Yhi mujhe hospital leke aaya. Remember I told you about his dream of joining army.
Teja's dad:- achha Kundrra sahab ka ladka. Beta your dad and me were classmates. Aur pta hai...
Teja:- uff dad let him be! He doesn't need to know your childhood stories and most importantly they are all embarassing.
Teja's dad:- achha baba thik hai chup ho jaata hu!
They were all laughing and smiling. Although Karan just pretended of being happy and when he couldn't control he went out.
Varun:- Karan how's she?
Karan:- abhi toh thik hai. Lekin use yaad hi nhi hai ki vo mujhe sab kuch bta chuki hai? Varun kya memory loss ki vajah se uska pyaar bhi khatm ho jaayega?
Varun:- aisa kuch nhi hoga! Tu tension mat le! She still does love you bss tu usko confess kar de.
Karan:- nhi yrr doctor ne kaha hai ki use stress nhi lena chahiye uske liye achha nhi hoga. Aise mein agar maine use btaya ki vo sab confess kar chuki hai toh vo panic karegi. I think mujhe usse dur rehna hoga!
Varun:- tu pagal ho gya hai kya keh rha hai aise kaise kar skta hai tu?
Karan:- hn Varun yhi uske liye thik hai maybe ye universe ka sign hai ki main uske liye sahi nhi hu aur mujhe usse dur ho jaana chahiye.......
What will Karan do now?
Will Teja ever know the truth?
Will she recover?
