"Did she tell you where she was going?" My mother asked as she kept getting Lauren's voicemail. "No mom I told you we got into a nasty argument, said some hurtful things to each other and I assumed she went to bed." I said worried out of my mind.

Hearing the doorbell ring, two cops stood before me as I invited them in. "Nice home. Are you the fella that called?" He asked holding a miniature notepad. "Yes I called to file a missing persons report, my wife left the house in the middle of the night and hasn't been back since. We've been calling her phone all morning and it just keeps going to voicemail." I explained. "Before your wife disappeared, did you guys get into any sort of argument?" The cop asked while jotting down information. "Yea we did." I replied. "And did you see her walk out the front door?" The cop asked. "No I did not." I spoke truthfully. "What was she wearing when she went missing?" He asked.

"A pair of grey sweatpants, a white crop top and a black jacket." I said trying to remember everything she wore. "And may I ask what was this argument about?" The officer asked while still taking down information. "We been having issues in our marriage, other women and about who was going to take the children." I admitted.

"And no one heard her leave?" The officer looked confused. "What are you implying officer?" My mother jumped in. "Ma'am we're just trying to get all the facts, that's all." He said taking all the information in. "Did she leave on foot or did she take her vehicle?" He asked. "She didn't take her car, but I have a strong feeling someone may have picked her up." I suggested. "Do you know who this someone might be?" He asked while writing. "Erm I'm not sure, I've already contacted both of her friends and neither of them have seen or heard from her." I admitted.

"Alright sir, I'm going to be quite honest with you. Your wife may have left willingly due to the argument you two had. Or. Now I don't wannna scare you, but this can also be one of those situations where you may have to prepare yourself for the worst case scenario." The officer admitted.

Instantly feeling my heart drop down into my stomach I immediately felt nauseous and just needed to be away from everyone. "Fuck man." I said to myself.

"We'll get this information out immediately and we will be in contact with you all." The officers reassured us before leaving. "Fuck man!" I said hitting a wall. "Calm down baby. The girls need you right now and they don't need to see you like this." My mother said rubbing my back.

Blowing up Lauren's phone over twenty times, without getting a hold of her I sat back and thought of all the places she could possible need.
