luceat lux tua, sic potes ire ad astra

The screams of blades crashing against each other as war cries were heard upstairs did only make Loki's feet move faster and faster to where the Lady was located. They were too busy killing each other to notice that the God of Mischief had broken out of his prison upon knowing his lover was on the battlefield. Loki thought he had lost her forever and that thought was enough to nearly drive the God insane with anger. The hallways felt larger and never-ending, almost as if a spell was cast to never let him reach his objective. But the God kept going, destroying anyone who'd dare to cross his path. There you were, lying still on the ground, but on his mind, it was as if Loki was back in that chill morning of Spring when you were laughing and rolling on the grass, sunlight on your skin and birds chirping with the sun. Instead of those full-of-life and shining eyes, you stared at Loki with an ethereal, lifeless face. The God intertwined his fingers with yours and mourned for years to come.

That final insult of fate of being torned apart from his life partner and absolute unfairness of destiny, to let others have their second chance at happiness, shattered Loki's heart. The dark feelings inside of him, so long buried, were itching on his skin like a bug - but this time, Loki did not reject them again. Even after centuries had passed, the youngest of Odin's sons, once King Loki of Asgard, refused to accept his lover's death with every ounce of his will. Instead of grieving, the God of Mischief found a way to quench the burning emptiness in his heart.

He would bring her back. They would say hello again.
