Averagers Tower
Narrator's POV
When they arrive at the tower they put Y/n in a investigation room and handcuff her to the table. Y/n was in the room alone meditating waiting for someone to come in and interrogate her.
"Okay, I have some questions for you and then we will be done here," Natasha says as she walks in and sits down across from Y/n
"So they sent you in here? interesting," The woman said opening her eyes to look at the redhead
"Where were you two days ago, at 7:35 pm?" Natasha asked with a straight face
"At home working on a project," Y/n answers not showing any signs that she is a lying
"Is there anyone that can verify that?" the Avenger ask
"Yes, her name is Kate Bishop, she was with me all night"
Y/n's POV
Now you are probably wondering how I know Kate Bishop? Well, she's a close friend who helps me out from time to time, with business and 'stress'. I called her up to tell her the plan and she had no problem backing up my lie.
I watch Natasha walk out of the room to check out my 'alibi'. She comes back into the room and tells me it checks out and Fury would like to talk to me so I tell her to bring him in and now he's sitting across from me
"So what's up?" I asked him with a calm face as his has a cold expression
"Ok, there's nobody in the other room so no one can hear our conversation. I know you shot me" Fury says getting to the point
"Well in that case Nick, what do you want?" I ask changing my expression to a cold serious one and lean on the table
"I want to make a deal with you. You join the Avengers and I will clear your name" he informed me
"You don't even know what I can do," I say shaking my head
"Well considering, your eyes change color, you can take out agent Rogers and Romanoff means you are skilled, and you chose to hit me in a nonvital point means you know what you're doing. So I will take my chances with you" I explained
"I'll pass, I work alone, I don't like the idea of teams," I tell him and he sighs
"Well it's either you join or get or put in a cell for however long we choose to keep you in there" he smirks
"I'll join on one condition," I say holding up my pointer finger and he nods for me to continue "I only go on solo missions and only ever go on group missions when truly needed"
"I think you'll be going on more groups missions than you think. I will make my decision after I see what you can do, so follow me" Nick says getting up and I do as he says as I follow him to a room with a boxing ring in the middle along with all the Avengers next to it
"What are we doing exactly?" I ask and they all look at me
"We are testing your abilities," Fury says and Steve steps into the ring
"First off you will be sparing with me, and I'm not going easy on you" he speaks up as he looks down at me, I nod and step into the ring going to the corner opposite of his. I take off my shirt and shoes and throw them to the side and I feel a couple pairs of eyes on me
"It's one thing to watch the fight but it's another thing when you guys are checking me out" I say stretching my arms out and they stop staring at me
"Ok I will call it, no rules," Clint says and counts down, and the spar starts. I'm not gonna throw the first point and I know he doesn't want to, so I put my arms down by my side and walk around the ring while he avoids me
"Come on this is boring just fight already!" Tony says bored, and the next thing I know Steve is charging at me with full speed, he throws a right hook and I dodge it, getting behind him in less than a second kicking the back of his knee making him fall then back away, he gets up and charges at me, he begins throwing punches and kicks as I block and dodge them all, as he throws a left hook I grab his wrist and pull him towards me and give him a good right gab square in the nose knocking him out.
"Well damn," Clint says shocked along with the rest of the team
"Romanoff, your up," Fury says, and as Thor gets Steve out of the ring, Natasha gets in. Clint counts down again and she's off to a quick start, as she throws punches I block and dodge them, when I get a chance I grab her wrist, twisty body, and flip her over my head causing her to land on her back, I back away letting her get up, this time she goes to sweep my feet with her leg and I let her, I fall and she's quick to straddle me and pin my arms above my head
"Kinky much," I say getting my legs in between us and kicking her off me, she flys back landing on her stomach with a thump, I'm quick to go and put my knee on her back and grab her arm twisting it back close to the point of breaking it, and she screams slightly
"That's a first" Clint comments and they all nod as I still have their teammate in a behind-the-back arm lock, and I put a little more pressure but she still doesn't tap
"Natasha tap out or I will break your arm!" I growl pushing my knee deeper into her back, but she still doesn't budge, all she does is groan in pain
"Nat, just tap out," Steve says looking at her, and she doesn't listen. As my eyes turn a gold color I break her arm causing her to scream out in pain and tap out, I get off her and help her up
"You actually broke my arm!" she says in disbelief
"I told you I would," I say with a shrug, and Clint comes goes up to the redhead and takes her to the medical area I'm guessing they have here
"Well done Y/n, you are the first one to make agent Romanoff tap out. We will continue to test whatever else you have up your sleeve" he tells me and I get my shirt back on along with my shoes
"Well I'm gonna go check on Romanoff then we can continue," I say walking away before he can protest. I asked someone where the medical area was and they told me where to go.
I walked up to the open door of the room Natasha is in and lean against the door frame with my arms crossed as see the Doctor check out her shoulder
"Why didn't you tap out?" I ask making my presents known, and the three people in the room look at me
"I wasn't gonna let you win by default that easily and I didn't think you would actually break my shoulder" she answers not telling the whole reason but I don't push it
"Watch out doc," I say and walk up and take his place in front of the window
"What are you doing?" she asks but I ignored her as I place both hands on her shoulder and being to heal it as my eyes glow a light grey
"What the hell?" Clint says shocked as he stands up to get a better look at what's happening. When I'm done I put both my hands to my side and walk toward the door
"Wait! How'd you do that?" Natasha asks and I smirk stopping in my tracks
"Just one of my many talents" I say over my shoulder and leave.
