📍: Small Café~Manhattan, New YorkCheryl hums quietly to herself while she watches Toni order their coffee. The cashier is listening to her talk as she lists out what she and the redhead wants.
The two so happen to run into each other while they got their morning coffee, so Cheryl agreed to hang out for a bit. She sits upright when she notices Toni coming back. "Well, our order will be out shortly." Toni mimics the cashier's English accent.
Cheryl belts a soft laugh, the glow of the morning sun reflecting on her pale face. Toni smiles at the sound of her laugh, hazel eyes scanning her pretty face.
Her heart literally jumped out of her chest when she saw Cheryl enter the coffee after her. She then invited her for coffee, so here they are.
"So, how has everything been?" the basketball star asks as she leans back in her seat.
"Good." the redhead tucks ginger hair behind her ear. "I've just been doing a lot of press lately." she sighs. "This is actually my first time enjoying my morning. I usually feel disoriented and tired." she then chuckles.
"It's because of me right? I'm the highlight of your morning..." the tan woman across from her jokes. Following along, Cheryl nods with a laugh.
"I knew it," Toni smirks. The waiter comes by with their coffee and Toni's bagel. "Thank you." the two women say in sync. They lock eyes before looking at the coffee with a smile.
The waiter walks off and Toni picks up her bagel. "How come you didn't get me one?" Cheryl tests.
Toni eyes her and then the bagel she has just bitten into. "I'm sorry. I didn't know. Would you like the other half?" the athlete asks, sliding the plate over to the model.
"I was just joking, Toni." the woman chuckles. "But thank you, I'll take it."
Shrugging, Toni gestures for her to take it. The redhead picks up the soft buttery bread. She takes a bite into it and hums, widening her eyes.
"It's good, huh?" Toni smirks, picking up her coffee.
"So good." the model takes another bite. "I always just stick with my coffee." she then adds, covering her mouth as she does so.
"Well, it looks like I just introduced you to something amazing, eh?" the outstanding athlete grins, wiggling her eyebrows. Cheryl giggles at the woman's playful antics before throwing a scrunched-up napkin at her.
Toni soon joins in on the laughter, smiling widely at the redhead once they both calm down. The two are so wrapped up in each other that they don't see people recording their interactions. Celebrity bullshit.
"So, Toni...tell me something I don't know about you." the model sets half of the bagel onto the plate before picking up a napkin to wipe her face.
"What do you want to know?" the tan woman inquires. "I can assure you that my life is boring."
The woman across from her rolls her green eyes. "I say it's not. Just tell me anything." she sits up straight, grinning.
"Okay...uh...my dad passed away when I was three."
"Oh no." the red head frowns. "I'm so sorry." her eyes soften with so much care.
"Ah, it's alright. I can barely remember him. My big sister would tell me stories about him. She tells me that he was a very humble guy and that I act just like him most of the time." Toni smiles down at her coffee absentmindedly before clearing her throat and meeting Cheryl's eyes. "But Uhm, even though I don't remember him, I miss him sometimes."
