📍: Elaine's Doctor's office, BK hospital...Fort Greene, Brooklyn NY
⚠️: Just to say that I'm not a professional doctor so I don't really know if most of the situations with CAD as I am solely relying on Google🧍🏾‍♀️

Elaine watches as her doctor goes through her chart precisely, his round-framed glasses resting on his button-like nose.

Her doctor is young, about thirty to thirty-five, and he is greatly intelligent. The woman always tells him that too.

MD. Matthew Harris reads his tag that is attached to his coat by a small plastic clip. The brunette's eyes settle on it for a few, her eyes scanning over his picture.

"Okay, Mrs. Topaz." he breaks the silence and looks up at her. "I am seeing some amazing improvements."

Elaine lets out a sigh of relief. "The medicine is helping wonderfully. Your heart rate stays above average and blood is pumping to your heart in the correct circulation."

"Oh, that's so good to hear!" the woman clasps her hands together with utter relief.

"Yes, I agree." the man chuckles and flips to another paper on his clipboard. "This is your list, just things that'll keep the side effects from bothering you too much. I also added some self-care products that'll also help."

"Thank you, Dr. Harris. I will definitely be using that." she accepts the paper.

"Of course. Anything for my favorite patient." he chuckles. "Oh, and another thing is. Try to think more water, your test says that you're dehydrated most of the time."

"But I do drink a lot of water?" Elaine raises her eyebrow. "I make sure that I do." Dr. Harris hums softly while he double-checks her test, comparing the recent one with the present one.

"Says you aren't."

"Oh god."

"No need to worry, Mrs. Topaz. Sometimes conditions like these require lots of water intake. So instead of the water nurturing your body, it's nurturing your blood. Which is why it's flowing perfectly and not in lumps."

"But I need water, is there any way that I can drink any without that happening?"

"Just keep drinking your usual amount of water. This is only temporary, soon everything will flow better," he assures.

"Okay." she swallows down her anxiety. "Thank you, Doc."

"It's my job." the handsome man smiles. "Now, I will see you in two weeks for a follow-up. Any questions?"

Elaine shakes her head while she stands up and gathers her jacket.

"Alright, then, I'll see you in 2 weeks." he rubs her shoulder in a comforting manner before leaving the room, his clipboard tucked under his arm.

Toni reaches above her head to grab the tea pocket from the cabinet before opening the steaming hot kettle pot. She glances over at her girl's slightly ajar door and frowns when she sees the redhead clutching her stomach.

Ever since the model started birth control, her period has been coming earlier and hitting her worse. She hates every bit of it.

Toni tries her best to keep her girlfriend comfortable. She cuddles her when asks, and rubs her belly, back, and legs. She's there when her emotional mood swings occur or when she has to throw up.

The brunette never knows what taking care of someone feels like but when she's taking care of the ginger beauty, a feeling of love, care, and warmth settles in her chest. She loves taking care of the redhead just as much as the latter loves taking care of her.
