"IF I TELL YOU ALL ABOUT WILL'S DISAPPEARANCE, YOU promise you won't tell anyone? And you accept the risk of me telling you?" Lizzie asked the redhead.
"Yeah, I promise." Max sweared.
Liz held out her pinkie for Max, which the girl accepted. Liz kissed her thumb to lock it in place, like she always did. It confused Max at first, but she ended up kissing her thumb as well with a smile on her face. Liz grabbed Max's hand and guided her to the bed. The pink striped cover messy on top of the bed, obviously not having been made.
"Will didn't just go missing in the woods. He got lost somewhere else." Liz explained.
She explained the whole story about last year, ending with the disappearance of Eleven.
"I just can't believe it's been so long you know, it feels like yesterday..." Liz admitted.
"Yeah, I mean I bet. Wow." Max agreed.
"I know, it's crazy." Liz added.
"It's definitely crazy, but I liked it." Max said.
"You liked it?" Liz questioned.
"Yeah, but I had a few issues." Max stated.
"Issues? What issues?" Liz asked.
"I felt it was a little derivative in parts." Max answered.
"What do you mean?" Liz inquired.
"I just wish it had a little more originality, that's all." Max admitted.
"You don't believe me?" Liz asked a little bit heartbroken.
"Liz, listen I love you. But how gullible do you think I am?" Max asked.
"Why would i make this up for fun?" Liz questioned in disbelief.
"I don't know. To impress me or something. Or you're crazy." Max responded.
"I told you all of this. Top-secret stuff! I risked my life to tell you this! And you think it's just a story?" Liz said fed up with her antics.
"Risking you life?" Max mocked.
"This is funny?" Liz inquired.
"Yeah, I mean kind of funny." Max stated.
Liz looked away, shocked and a hurt at Max's words.
"Alright i should go, story times over right?" Max asked.
"But I gave you what you wanted." Liz was confused.
"I wanted to be apart of the group, not some joke." Max responded.
"But it's not a joke!" Liz said, tears of frustration threatening to spill out.
"You did a good job Brownie. Go tell the others I believe you." Max said beginning to leave.
Liz gently grabbed her wrist before she could leave her room.
