I have feelings for you, but I don't know how to feel about them.

I like you, yeah. But I don't know if you like me back.

I want to know if you like me back.

I don't care anymore if you do or not.

I just want a response. Something real from you.

Not a snapchat of half of your face on [REDACTED] bed.

Not you saying you wanna [REDACTED] me.

Not you blank-snapping me when I give you "fun-facts" or "energy drink reviews."

Speaking of the latter, I've done so many that you haven't seen.

I feel like I bother you, but you say nothing to me.

You're stoic towards me, but I know that you're not a stoic person.

You're loud, you're funny, you're gentle.

And I think you're about to lose the best thing you never had.

Allow me to tell you some things about myself.

I'm not going to say "I'm not like other girls," because I feel like I might be in some ways.

I'm going to tell you some of the qualities of me that I don't think you see.

I am the girl who drops everything for a friend in need.

A shoulder to cry on? I'm there.

A ride home from the bar? Hop in [REDACTED], we're getting home safe, [REDACTED].

Someone to listen? I have nobody else to tell, you can say what's on your heart.

I am the girl who lifts burdens off of shoulders.

[REDACTED] just went to college. She's not having a cash-money time.

She's scared and she needs advice.

She calls me. Not [REDACTED]. Not [REDACTED]. Me.

When she needs something in a judgment-free zone? She'll call me.

She knows I've made mistakes, and that I won't charge her for hers.

I am the leader and the purpose.

I am the firstborn daughter.

I am the firstborn granddaughter.

I am the backbone of the [REDACTED] family.

I know my worth.

Please. See it.

I might not be the most fluent in my emotions.

But I know that I am conflicted.

I know that my heart shouldn't be broken, especially by someone who doesn't see my worth.
